Brian Westbrook reveals what Andy Reid said to him while standing beside his own son's casket at his funeral, Westbrook approached his former coach hoping to comfort him during the most heartbreaking moment of his life, and says instead Reid looked at Westbrook and asked how he could help him because he knew he had just transitioned out of football and was looking for what was next
“I’ll say Andy Reid. Andy Reid was important and influential in my life because you go into the league from a Division I-AA school, and you don't really know very many people. You're just there to grind. And the one thing Andy Reid said was, ‘Listen, I don't want to hear you talk. I don't want you to do all this other stuff. I just want you to listen to your veterans, follow their lead, and grind every single day. And if you do that, I'm going to give you a chance. I'm going to give you an opportunity.’”
“And he was a man of his word. When someone says all you have to do is these things, and you follow those things, and they're going to give you this, that's meaningful to you. And to this day, I'll never forget this. This was one of the most, it was actually weird—but I think it shows the man that Andy Reid is.”
“His son had a bad drug problem and ended up passing away at camp. I was a year out of the NFL at this time, and so I'm going to the funeral. And the strength of this man, Andy Reid, he's standing at his son's casket. I mean, there's lines a mile long to see him. And I walk up to him, and I'm broken because I knew these kids since I was in college. I'm broken.”
“And I give him a hug, and I'm crying, and I'm like, ‘Coach, you good? What do you need?’ Before he even answered my question, he said, ‘What do you need? How can I help you? You're out of the league now. You're doing different things, TV, radio, all this other stuff. How can I help you get to where you want to?’”
“We're literally at his son's funeral, beside his son's casket, and he's asking me this. And I'm confused because I'm like, ‘I'm here to comfort you.’ And through all of this, he is still trying to help former players. Still trying to mentor. Still trying to do those things. And even today, when you hear players talk about Andy Reid, they say he's a father figure. He's a great man. He's the best coach.”
“Even the issues that him and T.O. had, they're tight like this today, right? And so, you know, I think about guys like that. I probably could name another 50 guys that certainly had an impact on my Mount Rushmore, but those people have influenced my life in so many different ways. Things would be totally different for me if I didn't have those men in my life, and my mother, of course.”

This is why I believe Kitler lost his Job. One of the very few things you can control on a football field is your attitude and Effort. When you play with Great attitude and effort, it shows that you care. I know Kitler cares, and I'm hoping this will light a fire in him because this team needs their captain on the field!

The Sylvan Hills Bear two-sport star is going to be a Hog. Burnett is one of the leading passers in the state right now but future is on the diamond.
Fastball already up to 94. Really bright future.
I am extremely blessed and excited to announce my commitment to continue my academic and baseball career at the University of Arkansas! I couldn’t be more grateful to the Arkansas coaching staff for the opportunity to represent my home state as a Razorback.
First and foremost, I want to give all glory to God for blessing me with this opportunity. I want to thank my parents for being my biggest supporters and for the many hours they’ve spent at practices, games, and lessons. I also want to thank all of the teammates and coaches I have been blessed with, especially Jason Cauley, Dustin Moseley, Zach James, and Jimmy Harris and the rest of the Sylvan Hills coaching staff. None of this would be possible without the people who have pushed me, challenged me, and helped me become the person and player I am today.
The work doesn’t stop here. I’m excited for what the future holds and can’t wait to get to work on the Hill!

Now that UCLA upset Oregon, Oklahoma State beat UCF, and Kentucky upsets LSU, first year head coaches with less football revenue than Arkansas are a combined 14-2, meanwhile Silverfield is still trying to make an excuse as to why they punted down 7 with 1:45 remaining.

Wait, how did Kentucky and their $25 million roster beat an LSU team with a roster worth twice that? I thought that wasn’t allowed.
Surely their coach must have built this program over the course of several years and not overnight.

On this date in 2011, Chris Carpenter pitched a masterful game against Roy Halladay and the Phillies to send the Cardinals to the NLCS!
Carpenter became just the third pitcher in MLB history to throw a 1-0 shutout in a "winner-take-all" postseason game.

Only people I blame is the board of trustees…HY and football staff should’ve been gone after 2024 when the coaching market was wide open for us. Could’ve been in year two of a AD/HC with more funding.

Hogs have now been out scored 122-34 by P4 teams this season. That was not a very good Aggies team. They made adjustments and did the things they could do well.
The Arkansas offense is very predictable and vanilla. A college coach told me it was the worst Arkansas OL he can remember.
Tulsa gave fans hope. A&M brought everyone back down to Earth. Another game against a quality opponent and they were outplayed and out coached. I could go on but what’s the point.

Well folks, you asked for it. When will Trey have enough? Probably most frustrated I’ve seen him and I’m right there with him. @JoshPateCFB this is the one everyone has been waiting for.
