Mae’r isafbris am alcohol yma o hyd yng Nghymru. Heddiw, pleidleisiodd Aelodau @SeneddCymru dros gadw’r isafbris am alcohol a gyflwynwyd yn 2020, a’i godi o 50c to 65c yr uned.
Ni fydd yr isafbris yn datrys pob problem ar ei ben ei hun, ac mae angen gwella cymorth a thriniaeth i yfwyr bregus, ond, trwy dynnu’r diodydd rhataf, cryfaf allan o’r farchnad, mae’r isafbris yn gyfraniad pwysig at leihau niwed.

Minimum unit pricing (MUP) is here to stay, in Wales at least. Today, Members of @WelshGovernment / @LlywodraethCym – voted to keep the minimum price for alcohol that was introduced in 2020, and to increase it from 50p to 65p per unit.
Pricing alone cannot solve every alcohol problem and effective forms of treatment for those most vulnerable must also be improved, but by removing the cheapest, strongest drinks from the market, MUP will continue to make a significant contribution to reducing alcohol harm.

Feeding Recovery Project hosts Minister @sarah4bridgend!
This week, @WelshGovernment Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing, Sarah Murphy MS, visited a location of the Feeding Recovery Project in Swansea to see how cooking and meal sharing activities are supporting those in recovery from alcohol harm.
The Minister's visit follows the launch of our Feeding Recovery handbook, a guide for alcohol services to deliver cooking, eating and food sharing activities. The project and handbook have been developed in partnership with @WeAreBarod and @TheNelsonTrust, funded by the @WelshGovernment.
Our research suggests that when alcohol dominates someone’s life, food often becomes a low priority. The Feeding Recovery Project aims to tackle this, working directly with people to find out how best to support them to eat more and better food, while feeling the social benefits of cooking with others and sharing a meal.

Mae pennu isafbris fesul uned yn ffordd i osod pris gwaelodol na ellir gwerthu alcohol o dano. Mae’r pris wedi’i seilio ar faint o alcohol sydd ymhob diod.
Mae swmp o dystiolaeth bod mwy o alcohol yn cael ei yfed pan fydd e’n haws ei fforddio; a llai pan fydd e’n fwy anodd ei fforddio.
Mae Llywodraeth Cymru yn ystyried codi’r isafbris o 50c i 65c er mwyn ei gadw yn effeithiol.
Dysgwch fwy am yr isafbris ar ein gwefan👇

Minimum unit pricing (MUP) is a way of setting a baseline price below which no one can sell an alcoholic drink. That price is based on how much alcohol is in each drink.
Evidence shows that when alcohol is more affordable, more is consumed; when alcohol becomes less affordable, less is consumed.
The Welsh government are considering increasing the minimum price from 50p to 65p to maintain its real-term impact.

The Blue Light approach seeks to challenge the belief that nothing can be done for people who appear unable to change.
It provides hope to those living with severe alcohol dependence, who often fall through the gaps, and offers an innovative approach to supporting and motivating high impact dependent drinkers.
Buckinghamshire Council commissioned a two-year evaluation of the Blue Light approach. Here we share the valuable responses from service users who have been impact by the service.
They also discovered⬇️
📉Clear reductions in police callouts, crime reports, antisocial behaviour, and emergency healthcare use.
💷Average annual service costs per person dropped from £57,200 to £45,100. That’s a saving of more than £12,000 per person.

Trwy’r Brosiect Golau Glas, rydyn ni’n herio’r syniad nad oes modd gwneud dim dros bobl sydd i’w gweld yn amharod i newid.
Mae’n cynnig gobaith i’r rhai sy’n ddifrifol o ddibynnol ar alcohol – rhai sydd yn aml yn cwympo rhwng dwy stôl. Mae’n cynnig dulliau newydd i gefnogi ac ysbrydoli yfwyr sy’n gwneud cryn alwadau ar wasanaethau.
Comisiynodd Cyngor Sir Buckingham astudiaeth ddwy flynedd o’r Brosiect Golau Glas. Yma, rydyn ni’n rhannu ymatebion yr yfwyr sydd wedi elwa o’r brosiect.
Gwelon nhw hefyd ⬇️
📉Fod llai o alwadau ar yr heddlu, llai o droseddu ac ymddygiad gwrthgymdeithasol, a llai o angen gofal iechyd brys.
💷Bod costau cyfartal pob person i wasanaethau wedi gostwng o £57,200 i £45,100. Dyna leihad o fwy na £12,000 y person.
