Gun violence affects the animals of #Philly too. Phoenix was found with wounds, maggots and bullet holes that fractured her cervical vertebrae. She’s at @ACCTPhilly looking for rescue. #dobetterphilly

Ever wondered how to catch and subdue a crocodile? Tony Ikonen of @ACCTPhilly knows how. (But don't try it at home.) bit.ly/3VCO2xT

When a line formed recently outside @ACCTPhilly, its executive director recalled someone joked, “Do you have Taylor Swift tickets?"
“We’re like, ‘No, we’re just taking in dogs that people can’t care for anymore.’”

CRIKEY! 3 foot caiman found at FDR Park in South Philly yesterday morning cared for by @ACCTPhilly has been relocated by State Game Wardens. It's believed the alligator like reptile native to Mexico and Central America was released illegally. @FOX29philly 📷@AcctPhilly
Thank you for telling our temporary guest’s story 🐊
TONIGHT | @ACCTPhilly cared for a caiman after it was found Sunday morning in a FDR Park.
The alligator-related species is native to Central and South America...not South Philly.
We're sharing what's next for the reptile tonight on @CBSPhiladelphia.
Having buyers remorse about purchasing an animal 🐊who will grow to be 5ft, live to be 40, and requires a studio apt with half being temp. controlled water? DON’T RELEASE IT. Contact us, we won’t tell your mom she was right. Promise. Found abandoned at @FDRpark now at ACCT.
We are honored to be one of eight groups and the only open intake shelter, this will help save lives!
Blue is our first sponsored dog with @ACCTPhilly! We’re so excited to begin helping dogs in the Philadelphia community 🤗

This is Blue. She was found starving in an abandoned house. She needed emergency surgery to remove seven pounds of materials from her stomach. She was eating anything she could find. Blue needs constant care to gain weight and you can help her below ❤️🩹

ALT a black pit mix stands in a shelter. she's looking directly at us with concerned wrinkles for eyebrows, and big brown eyes. she's emaciated and most of her rib bones are visible. despite her condition, her floppy ears are perked.
ALT a high angle looking down on the dangerously skinny pittie pup. not only are her rib bones visible under her skin, but so are her hip bones. the top of her head is covered in skin wrinkles.
We are relieved the horse 🐴is ok! Huge thanks to @PSPCA whose officer came and assessed the horse and horse is now at New Bolton under PSPCA care 🥰
Horse found abandoned, on it’s side, inside Philadelphia City Hall courtyard. Strange 911 call @PhillyPolice who arrived with @ACCTPhilly and found the horse alive, with no rider or owner in sight yesterday. 1/3 @FOX29philly
We told Wilder and Tonya that the @Phillies won, and in typical cat fashion, these were their “we are so excited” faces 🤣 #redoctober
This little piggy is ready for tonight’s @Phillies game vs the @Padres , @sdhumane show us what you got! #phillies #AdoptDontShop @PhilliesNation
