ALT Event flier featuring event details and biographical information on Dr. Bruce: Dr. Bruce focuses on strategic planning, policy, social justice, and professional development. Prior to joining ArtCenter, he was the Chief Diversity Officer at San Diego State University for eleven years. Dr. Bruce has facilitated numerous professional development seminars and held management positions in Latin America and Africa. His international interest led him to service projects and research on management strategies, public health and education in the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Mexico, and Kenya. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Michigan State University where he also earned a certificate in Latin American and Caribbean Studies. He has an International MBA from US International University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Rhode Island Joint Doctoral Program in Education. He is the first African American male to hold such a distinction.
