the past few days have been interesting around @GenLayer. between the Equivalence Principle explainers, the MetaMask Internet Court case study, the AntSeed partnership and Genesis Episode 4, GenLayer is making a stronger case for what it wants to build. the idea is simple. — Bitcoin brought trustless money. — Ethereum brought trustless computation. — GenLayer wants to bring trustless decision-making to the agent economy. that’s a serious ambition. but the important question is whether the technology can deliver at scale. GenLayer is still in testnet, with mainnet targeted for Q4 2026. the concept is promising, the partnerships are notable, and the team is putting real effort into explaining the technology. still, a strong narrative doesn’t automatically mean product-market fit. LLM reliability remains a challenge. inference costs could become a problem at scale. and despite all the activity around GLP and Rally, the token supply, allocations and vesting details remain unclear. there’s also a difference between thousands of testnet decisions and sustained demand from real agent commerce. that’s what i’m watching closely. can GenLayer become the layer agents actually need when transactions get complicated, agreements become ambiguous, and disputes need to be resolved? because if it works, the opportunity goes beyond another points campaign or TGE narrative. but if real usage doesn’t follow the attention, the narrative alone won’t be enough. the next big milestone isn’t just mainnet. it’s proving that the Internet Court has a real court to serve.
