Does any of it truly matter, if it all ends with death.

If Rhaenyra had a c0ck, everyone would worship her; if Rhaenyra had a c0ck, no one would care about the bastards—they would love her just as they loved Robert and Jaime

Rhaenyra thinks she's moved on from Viserys' model of kinghood, and it rules that Alicent is the person in the position to tell her that she's actually becoming just like him by closing her eyes to what she doesn't wish to see. 🤞Rhaenyra removes the statue after that in defiance

I make everything about rhaenicent that’s my fucking problem. Joyful reunion is about a kid who wants to have sex with his dad but his dad dies so he has to settle for a 24yo assassin instead and I made it about rhaenicent

Alicent is the easiest character to understand if you aren’t set on the idea of her being a fierce mother who holds power in her own right as a woman despite the misogyny of her society, bc that’s not and never has been the intent of her story from the beginning. You’re dumb.

"Just don't think he could ever hv written women like in aot" I know this looks like it but I swear I'm not saying aot has better written women than Asoiaf lol but that female characters have more range in other media unlike Asoiaf where they're more complex but predictable
Random takes@ABD_ELTHSep 14
My take has always been that grrm only knows how to write one kind of woman and it's the dramatization of the woman (angry or clueless) whose greatest woe/virtue is being a woman, and it's mostly always flat and boring. Just don't think he could ever hv written women like in aot

Also this doesn't exclude hotd (which I do love) lol, the conflict just revolves around women more for most of the story but it's still mostly same Everybody acting like I said georges writing is poor, bc you can't criticize an author anymore if he has written danaerys targaryen

The contrast between Alyn searching for Corlys so desperately after the Gullet and leaving him to die at Tumbleton is peak. I had my doubts about extending their strained relationship across multiple seasons but holy shit it's paying off
