Acceptable the school felt the need to have some form of structure & decorum. Totally UNacceptable to prohibit the showing of culture, pride, etc. Let them wear the stoles after the ceremony. Have clear tasteful guidelines like the caps. Could have been handled so much better.

Just discussing that very concept today in an MTSS PD session. So true. Improve Tier 1 and less Tier 2 & 3 will be needed.

#Together4ELS Previewing and practicing vocabulary before reading to help with those base vocab words that students need to transfer to long term memory. Adding this step before reading conserves cognitive energy with then save energy for comprehension.
