My For You has been, for the past week or so, disproportionally New Yorkers talking about how amazed they were when they found out that Irish and Italian were just two relatively small ethnic subgroups in the nation at large, and not the Two Types of Guy You Can Be.
Yo so I know I have a small following on here, but this is a functionally perfect video game for the size of its dev team/scope of the project/stated influences/genre/price point/etc.
It is also straight-up thematically haunting. If it ‘clicks’, you’ll lose sleep over it.
Found a near perfect Knight of the Seven Kingdoms MV, but cant share it to hype people up to watch because 1) it’s set to a slowed reverb version of a stereotypically angsty 00s AMV song, and 2) it spoils literally everything.
Evidently the ideal way of getting the ‘Promise’ ending on my latest Signalis run would involve going afk in an enemy-occupied hallway for like 6 hours. Think I’ll just go through once more on an Artifact run and get the keys + John Wick-ify Spierpinski instead.
I would do dark deeds for that Signalis first edition copy with the holographic photo prop of Alina/Ariane. The woes of being four years late to the party.
One aspect of Dishonored ending discourse I don’t see brought up is that high chaos isn’t even the ‘bad’ ending. There’s a definitive bad ending where Emily dies and Dunwall becomes a plague-ridden ghost town. Corvo departs on a ship (for presumably Karnaca?) well, ‘Dishonored’
High Chaos is ‘solve literally all your problems with a week-long spree-killing’ vs Low Chaos’s ‘solve all your problems with subterfuge’.
Barring a total psychopath run it doesn’t even morally judge you that much.
Feel there’s a bit of ‘Context collapse’ going on between people for whom Dungeon Crawler Carl is a self-admittedly schlocky webnovel banged out during covid and later readers picking it up blind as a hardcover that shares a shelf with, I dunno, William Gibson novels.
I need a Targaryen family historian to tell me if that was the Tommen suicide window. #hotd #gameofthrones

"There Will Come Soft Rains" is a short story by Ray Bradbury written in 1950 and set on August 4th 2026
Marathon needs:
1) Boomer shooter level design notably worse that doom
2) A like 100k word sci-fi novel interspersed around various terminals, some hidden.
3) A jumping puzzle so bad the company cofounder publically apologized for it.
