📚Which cognitive activity do you think may be effective in preventing symptoms linked with dementia?
· Memory games
· Reading books
· Learning a new skill
· Social interactions
🥼Research suggest that regular cognitive stimulation may potentially improve brain connectivity and cognitive functions in Alzheimer’s patients.

The #ABATEDStudy aims to validate AI tech to spot early brain changes on MRI scans, making it possible to introduce activities like these when they can have a stronger impact🧠. @preventiveneur1 @QMUL_WIPH
🔍The #ABATEDStudy focuses on diagnostic tools, aiming to validate AI tech using brain scans to improve early and accurate dementia diagnosis. Early detection can help patients with planning and receiving potential treatment🩺 #Dementia @preventiveneur1 @QMUL_WIPH
Can life changes like divorce or widowhood influence brain health?🧠New research from QMUL led by Dr. Avi Chandra finds that marital dissolution is linked to worse memory, and this may be influenced by increased amyloid-beta (Aβ) in the brain, a key protein in #Alzheimers🩺.
The #ABATEDStudy aims to validate novel AI tech🖥️ to detect similar early brain changes using clinical MRI scans which may allow doctors to catch the signs of memory loss faster.

🎉Huge Congratulations to Neil Kirby! 🎉
On Saturday October 12th, Neil made history by breaking the #worldrecord for running 50km on a treadmill in the over 70 age group 🏃♂️
He did this world record in support of Race Against Dementia - raising over £8,400 👏💙
Thank you Neil!
