Our y9 flutes playing their B5 piece which is their starter piece for this year. This is 2 levels away from grade 1, which I have challenged them all to meet or exceed by the end of y9. A great start.

Team Woodfields on the Playday today. They've been a credit to the school, rehearsed diligently all day and did a great performance at the end.
Ready to go for our MISST playday today. 5 other schools have joined us from across the North and Midlands to make music. 🎵
A great evening welcoming our new Year 7 scholars to MiSST and presenting them with their brand-new clarinets and trumpets.
It was also wonderful to hear the fantastic progress being made by our brass players and flautists.
A new poem at AAW Open Evening – accompanied by four flutes!
Our drama students, choir and flautists worked incredibly hard tonight, getting creative with a new piece.

A total of 47 scholars auditioned for our production of Rufus Norris’s Sleeping Beauty, which will take to the stage in March.
Callback auditions will take place next week to help Mrs Atkins cast the parts, with rehearsals beginning the week commencing 21st September.
Year 10 Drama are making an absolutely magic start to their GCSE course.
It’s been fantastic to see so much creativity, confidence and enthusiasm in the classroom already.

My last results day with Woodfields, but an exciting one… some real turnarounds and some stellar performances in there. I can’t wait to celebrate with them and hear about their plans for the future. Support will be on hand, either for advice or to take a photo. Not long now!
Can’t wait to see the Class of 2028 on Thursday morning at 9am as we celebrate their results and support them with their next steps — whether that’s university or a real alternative.
Two of our Y11 Drama devising groups put a proper shift in this morning. Three hours of focused work and some great progress made. Getting ready for their October exam.

Very best wishes to @MrDavidScales as he takes up his new role. He has done what few leaders have managed: transforming a broken, inadequate school to 'Good' in 15 months. @AAWoodfields is totally unrecognisable. I will really miss David, but wish him every success and happiness.
