🚨 BREAKING: @KristanHawkins is asked about Lindsay Clancy and the view that women should not be penalized for abortion.
Instead of trying to defend her stance, @KristanHawkins called the questioners “premature abolitionists,” deflected to issues like female suffrage and even shooting abortionists, and snapped “goodbye, I’m done talking to you.”

🚨 Pro-Life apologist @Trent_Horn released a video today rebutting the claim that “overturning Roe v. Wade increased abortions.”
But nowhere in the video does @Trent_Horn actually deny that abortion numbers are higher since the overturn of Roe v. Wade, even after the passage of numerous Pro-Life laws across the country.
@Trent_Horn speaks positively about these laws, saying they banned abortion in many states and “provide tangible benefits to preborn children.”
But he fails to discuss how such laws regulate the time, place, and manner of abortion, or even provide complete legal immunity for women who murder their preborn babies, enabling the rising popularity of abortion pills.
🔥 When attendees of the @texyouthsummit were polled by our team this weekend, they soundly embraced the position that murdering anyone should be illegal for everyone.
Pro-Life establishment groups, including those in Texas, vainly seek to cast equal protection as fringe or extreme. But everyday conservatives in Texas, such as those who attended the @texyouthsummit, know that anyone who willfully murders a preborn baby must be subject to the laws against murder.

In my debate with @StudentsforLife staff apologist @JojoRRuba, he claimed that, under equal protection, Texas’ defense-of-third-persons law would let people shoot abortionists or maim mothers to stop abortions.
I called that stupid. Here’s why...
Texas Penal Code 9.33 lets you defend a third person only to the same extent you could defend yourself under 9.31 and 9.32. And 9.31 allows force only “when and to the degree” you reasonably believe it is immediately necessary. Nothing more.
That is already the law today for every born child in Texas. If a mother is about to drown her toddler in the bathtub, you can pull the child out and restrain her. No one reads that as a license to shoot her. If grabbing her arm will stop it, grabbing her arm is all the law allows.
Equal protection simply applies that same rule to preborn children. If a woman were about to swallow an abortion pill, you would take the pill from her. Shooting her would be unjustified force, and it would kill the very child you’re trying to save.
Here’s what Jojo left out...
Right now, under Texas’s Pro-Life laws, if you grab her wrist to stop her, YOU get arrested for assault. She doesn’t. That’s how partiality in the law plays out in real life. The person trying to save a life is the criminal.
The law doesn’t need rewriting to prevent vigilantism. It already limits force to what’s necessary. What it needs is to stop treating preborn children as the one class of human beings you’re not allowed to protect.

🗣️ What is the chief end of abolition?
It isn't the Pro-Life Establishment's answer. @bradleypierce explains why everything else flows from that one question.

The state must punish abortion.
The state must punish child sacrifice.

🚨 Jana Pinson, the executive director at Pregnancy Center of the Coastal Bend and a staunch opponent of equal protection for Texas preborn babies, complained about the rapid rise of the abolition movement in the state.
Pinson said in footage posted by @TXAlliance4Life that “the abolitionist movement has gotten so deep into our communities,” and even lied that abolitionists want to “get rid of pregnancy centers.”
Pinson lamented that her anti-abolition stance was overwhelmingly rejected at the Republican Party of Texas Convention earlier this summer, reflecting how “that week wrecked me,” and noted that dozens of abolitionists were “all over the committees” supporting equal protection.
Republican Party of Texas delegates approved a platform and a legislative priority supporting equal protection of the laws for preborn babies, as well as the repeal of loopholes in Texas law keeping abortion legal for women. Pinson unsuccessfully testified in committee and on the floor alongside @TXAlliance4Life against the equal protection language.

While @TXAlliance4Life denounces the notion of “My Body, My Choice,” our laws in Texas encourage this mindset by keeping abortion legal for women. If @TXAlliance4Life wants to oppose “My Body, My Choice,” they must stop writing “My Body, My Choice” into our laws.
Pro-Life laws in Texas similarly exempt women who willfully murder their children from criminal penalties. While such laws are marketed by Pro-Life establishment groups as showing compassion to women, they enable thousands of preborn babies to be murdered in Texas.
🚨 BREAKING: A mother and father in North Carolina have been charged after the mother allegedly took mifepristone and birthed their baby into the toilet at 31 weeks.
But the charges may be dropped entirely, and defense attorneys are invoking a Pro-Life state law saying women cannot be prosecuted for willfully self-inducing their own abortions.
Syeisha Johnson, 18, and Elijah Speight, 19, currently face a number of charges. Johnson allegedly obtained and took mifepristone, the first substance in the commonly used abortion pill regimen, and birthed their 5.5 pound baby into the toilet, where the baby remained for several minutes. The baby survived after first responders performed CPR.
Johnson and Speight were held on a mere $1,000 bond, and prosecutors said they may have their charges completely dropped. Durham County District Attorney Satana Deberry remarked in a media interview that she believes “a woman has a right to choose and has the right to make decisions about her own body.”
While the laws of North Carolina say that abortion is legal for third-party abortionists through 12 weeks, defense attorneys are invoking a state law which says that “acts committed by a pregnant woman with respect to her own unborn child, including, but not limited to, acts which result in miscarriage and stillbirth by the woman” cannot be criminally prosecuted.
This maternal immunity language was placed into North Carolina state law in 2011 by Pro-Life legislation called the “Unborn Victims of Violence Act,” which was championed at the time by North Carolina Right to Life and other Pro-Life establishment groups.
Pro-Life laws keeping abortion legal for women encourage mothers to obtain abortion pills and willfully self-induce their own abortions. While these maternal immunity exemptions claim to show compassion for women as purported second victims of abortion, they enable countless thousands of preborn babies to be murdered by their own mothers.
We are thankful that conservative Christians in the state of Texas and beyond are recognizing the need to pass equal protection, ensuring that anyone who willfully murders a preborn baby can be held legally accountable.
