Not too long ago, I told a distinguished gathering of students and faculty at the University of Ghana that the New Economy will turn the sacrifices of recovery into the dignity of decent work, higher incomes and prosperity that reaches every Ghanaian.
For safety reasons let them pay fines instead of letting them risk their lives again. I get that you want to punish them.

Today I embarked on a working visit to the Passport Application Centre in Kumasi.
The visit enabled me to assess at first hand the impact of our policy reforms on passport applicants and staff.
I informed staff of the Foreign Ministry’s decision to establish a second Passport Application Centre (PAC) in the Ashanti Region by the first quarter of next year.
This second PAC will be located in Mampong where a facility has already been secured. We shall commence equipping the facility in the next few weeks.
The Greater Accra Region has three PACs and there’s certainly policy justification for an additional PAC in the second most populous region.
A second PAC in Ashanti will ease the pressure on staff, enhance convenience for applicants and create jobs.
We are also providing vehicles, new equipment and refurbishing our old PACs across the country.
I made time to listen to applicants share their experiences and ideas on how we can serve them better.
I commended our hardworking staff for their patriotism, integrity and professionalism which has been acknowledged by recent surveys and hailed by Ghanaians.
It is refreshing to know that Ghanaians all over the country are pleased with our passport reforms, the 30% reduction in application fees, the introduction of free and fast delivery, the new e-Tracking system and the historic establishment of PACs in all 16 regions of Ghana.
For God and Country 🇬🇭 🙏🏾

Dear young people,
Nobody warns you how quiet ruin is.
It never arrives with sirens or a sudden collapse. It shows up disguised as comfort. It arrives in the invitations you were too weak to decline, the discipline you delayed until "next Monday," and the rooms full of people who laughed with you while silently anchoring you to the floor.
Remember this rule, carved into every regret I have ever witnessed:
Easy choices lead to an excruciating life.
Difficult choices build an untouchable life.
The hard path is painful upfront. Waking up when it hurts. Holding standards when everyone around you is taking shortcuts. Choosing focus over cheap dopamine. But that pain expires—and it leaves behind freedom, clarity, and peace.
The easy path gives you instant pleasure, but charges interest forever.
And look closely at the hands currently shaping your future. The people around you are not neutral bystanders; they are either elevating your ceiling or normalizing your drift. If your circle makes discipline feel awkward and mediocrity feel comfortable, you do not have friends—you have an alibi.
Your future isn’t an accident waiting to happen. It is the mathematical sum of what you refuse to compromise on today.
Choose hard now. Or regret will choose it for you later.
.@GhPoliceService, if you don't arrest this arrogant idiot erh....
Kudos to the Ashaiman Volunteer Group members....

President Mahama was in Bechem over the weekend to inspect progress of work on this 6,000-chicken-per-hour Meat Processing Factory being developed by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture as part of the broader effort to attain self-sufficiency in poultry production.
The contractor assures that works will be completed in March next year, having already attained a 50% completion rate.
All equipment have been procured and ready for installation once the buildings are completed.
