ALT What Works for Me "To help with writer's block, we do two-minute writing. The only rule is for students to keep writing for the full two minutes. It generates so much energy, and from my perspective, I gain insights into their interests, writing style, and personality. It builds connection and confidence." —Ellen-Hanley Cifarelli, Teacher

School culture is not created by a mission statement on a wall, but it is created and lived out daily by everyone in the school working together, supporting each other, and dedicated to being their best.

Here’s a useful tip to help students improve their writing: Ask them to read their work aloud. While it may not feel as natural—or as modest—as reading silently, it can help them catch often-overlooked errors, new research shows. 🧵 1/4
