.@POTUS @realDonaldTrump repeatedly stated he wants drug dealers to be sentenced to death. He has gotten little buy-in on that idea domestically.

Media coverage of Jeffries' statement:🙈
'Who’s going to be the Republican candidate in ’28?’
@POTUS @realDonaldTrump- I will pick him. Whoever I pick will win.
In coming months we will see what other [2028] candidates are serious about running. The Republican operative quoted earlier went down a quick list of possibilities: "Sarah Sanders, Josh Hawley, Dave McCormick, Ted Cruz, Glenn Youngkin, Brian Kemp, Tom Cotton, Rick Scott, and five more we haven't thought of, plus a rich person or two."
There is only one thing certain about every single one of those potential candidates: None of them is Donald Trump. Maybe they won't have the president's liabilities, but they certainly won't have his unique political gifts. His appeal -- strong enough to twice be elected President of the United States -- is absolutely singular. There won't be another one like him, and no Republican candidate can pretend there will be.
As for Trump himself, in that pre-midterm conversation on Air Force One, he said he expected quite a few people to run, and that he, Trump, would play the decisive role in choosing the nominee. "They say, 'Who's going to be the Republican candidate in '28?' and they say, 'Anybody that President Trump wants,'" he told me. "I think that's right. I think I will pick him. Whoever I pick will win."
Maybe the midterms have reduced Trump's 2028 clout in the party, and maybe they haven't; you can make an argument either way. But there's no argument about the unmatched power Trump has exercised over the GOP. When we discussed the ways in which he had changed the face of the party, I asked, "How can any Republican keep that up?"
"They can't," Trump said. "It's going to be much different...They're going to do the best they can."

Today is my last day as White House Chief of Staff.
Serving President Trump in the White House has been the honor of a lifetime. I’m so proud to have been a part of what we’ve accomplished together from securing our border and cutting taxes to strengthening our economy and putting America First.
More than anything, I’m grateful for the extraordinary people I’ve had the privilege of working alongside. While my role may be changing, my commitment to the President and the mission never will.
Does someone close to Trump have a book of stupid ideas or are these all original concepts?
TRUMP WEIGHS TERRORISM DESIGNATIONS FOR US NONPROFITS
The White House is considering an executive order that could immediately suspend the tax-exempt status of nonprofits accused of terrorist ties, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The proposal would invoke Section 501(p) of the tax code, potentially bypassing lengthy IRS review procedures.
Officials are reportedly examining nonprofit financial records, but no organizations have been publicly identified.
The order remains under discussion and may never be signed.

CHINA never fully honors commitments its leaders make. They shame their people time & time again with their dishonesty & thievery.
Today, @USTradeRep Greer and I spoke with Vice Premier He Lifeng about the U.S.-China economic relationship and implementation of the Busan arrangement. I emphasized the importance of China fully and immediately honoring its commitments, raised concerns about recent Chinese actions and underscored that progress depends on concrete results.
The Trump Administration will continue pursuing policies that benefit American workers, farmers, and businesses and strengthen our economic and national security.
