I've never seen an exceptional product that was designed by committee.
Too many cooks in the kitchen make products that are complicated and diluted. Every compromise feels small in the meeting, and together they water down the whole thing!
A prince who could have been king, a maester who served faithfully, and a brother of the Night's Watch whose watch finally ended after more than half a century at the Wall.

I have always argued that the CRR policy has outlived its original purpose and should now be measured against individual banks' balance sheets, rather than by a universal rate.
“Abed, unclad, we are our truest selves, a man and a woman, lovers, one flesh, as close as two can be. Our clothes make us different people. I would sooner be flesh and blood than silks and jewel, and you…you are not your white cloak, Ser”
Arianne to Ser Arys
998 Lord Commanders came before me and Westeros still hasn't learned.
The Night Watch guards the realms of men.
I’m the Sword in the Darkness !
“The world believes the boy is dead ... Let his bones lie undisturbed. We want no seekers coming after us. Swear it, Samwell of the Night's Watch. Swear it for the life you owe me”

“Longer winter, fewer peasants”
Lord Baelish is the very embodiment of Machiavellian ruthlessness. A man whose thoughts are so dark that it turns white wings into dark words.

The biggest invention by the show runners. kudos for delivering this masterpiece ahead of the books. I wonder if Martin will finally get to this scene and what he will write
Two men from completely different worlds, yet both understand the same truth about survival in Westeros: being dangerous is often more useful than being noble.
While Westeros played its games of thrones & Essos chased its dragons, Night’s Watch faced the unknown, the Wildlings fought for survival, & White Walkers reminded us that some threats couldn’t be negotiated with.
For the North and Beyond the wall, Winter was the real enemy.

The North may bend under pressure, but House Mormont will not abandon its oaths.
They stayed true to their words and when the wolves needed allies, the little bear never blinked.

GAME OF THRONES Season 8 still hurts. After years of incredible storytelling, fans deserved a better ending. 💔
• The Night King was built up for years, only to die in one episode.
• Daenerys went from freeing people to burning an entire city.
• Jon Snow’s true identity barely changed anything.
• Bran somehow ended up on the Iron Throne.
• Jaime went back to Cersei after everything he went through.
• Tyrion kept making decisions that made little sense.
• Cersei’s death felt underwhelming after all those years of buildup.
• So many character arcs felt rushed just to get to the ending.
The problem wasn’t that our favorite characters had to win. It was that their stories deserved more time to unfold.
We spent years getting invested in these characters, only for so many storylines to end in ways that felt rushed.
Be honest, GOT fans: What disappointed you more—Daenerys becoming the Mad Queen or Bran ending up as king?

Whether it is called a "discount," a "price cap," or absorbed margins, any mechanism where the FG sells below the actual market is a subsidy
Lord Tywin scenes were absolutely gold.
Game of Thrones S1–S5 was absurdly good television, and Charles Dance as Lord Tywin Lannister was the epitome of it. Dude owned every scene bar his death
