Beto’s goal went in and my natural reaction was to hesitate. Then I stood clueless for five minutes. Then I celebrate getting an added time penalty, then another pause.
It’s not football and all 20 fanbases need to protest for its removal.

Moaning @everton get all the decisions in the derby 🤣🤣🤣
I can tell your new here ye fuckin little humpty dumpy head.
"After 10 minutes the referee blew his whistle 11 times, and 10 times in favour of Everton. The Liverpool players were ready to compete, but every time they touched them it was a free kick!"

15 years ago, Rage Against The Machine went live on BBC 5Live Breakfast. They cut the broadcast when we unexpectedly hit the 'correct' lyrics. Surprise! Three days later, YOU shocked the world (and Simon Cowell) and made "Killing In The Name" #1 on the UK pop charts, toppling The X-Factor’s dreary monopoly of the “UK Christmas #1”. 100% of the proceeds of the single were donated to UK homeless charities. ‘Twas a Merry Christmas indeed!

Something amazing just happened. Recently a raw tape of John Lennon’s final live performance on A Salute to Sir Lew has been discovered at the British Film Institute. It contained an entire unseen performance of Stand By Me. We have a 15 second clip for now🥹🥹🥹 Woww

Only @EricIdle could upstage one of the funniest openings ever written with a physical bit so unexpected & iconic that I think about it once a week. (From THE RUTLES: ALL YOU NEED IS CASH, 1978.)

A NEW WORLD FIRST RECORD!!!!!! 🍾
We crossed the finish line and as a team became the first to kayak source to sea of the Coppename River, in Suriname, South America ❤️
Words will never be able to describe the journey we’ve been on. We have been tried and tested, have been broken in very individual ways, yet the jungle has built us back up of stronger stuff, allowed us to pass through leaving no trace and not only survive but thrive in one of the most remote environments on earth.
We came together, battled scorpion, bee & wasp stings, blackouts, heat exhaustion, ant bites, hundreds of ticks, came across wild jaguar, caiman, electric eel, piranha, wolf fish and so much more.
We covered a brutal 600 meters all day through the density of the jungle, to then 80km straight of kayaking during the final days. Suffered from sleep deprivation, had a boat explode (hence there are only three boats in the first photo) and still persevered as a team, proving the journey to be possible.
Suriname is a beautiful country with 93% jungle coverage and so much unbelievable wildlife, many that haven’t seen a human before, that it was such a privilege to witness this and document our findings with @ftwglobal.
The people of Suriname have been amazing and I always say can either make or break a journey and the Surinamese certainly made this journey extra special.
Having experienced the jungle in the state that it was thousands of years ago, when the indigenous already roamed these lands, is such a special feeling and we hope it stays this way for thousands of years to come.
We went 34 days without seeing a single human and instead were living with the wild animals who often visited us in camp ❤️
A mission of 600km and 37 days, we made it and it was such an honour to share the journey with you all via @viasat & @globalsat but believe me when I tell you, you’ve seen NOTHING YET 😍
Thank you for all your support and stay following for the wildest stories, photos and videos coming soon.

Gavin Collins was an off-duty police officer enjoying a night out in central London when he was attacked by a pair of thugs. They repeatedly punched and kicked him, even after he’d been floored. Gavin needed titanium plates in his cheek and one eye socket following the unprovoked attack.
One of the attackers had three previous convictions for similar offences of common assault in the previous three years. As it happened the thugs were brothers, and the sons of one of Britain’s richest property tycoons.
But they were in luck. When they eventually appeared before Recorder Christopher Hehir in Southwark Crown Court, the judge was in a forgiving mood. The thugs were given suspended sentences—one of 15 months and one of six months.
Fast forward to last week when the same judge had to consider a different kind of case involving two young women who did not attack anyone, but did throw a can of soup at a painting by Vincent Van Gogh.
No one needed surgery. The picture frame was moderately affected because—fun fact—tomato soup is apparently “slightly acidic”. But His Honour Christopher Hehir reacted very differently, jailing one young woman for more than two years and the other for 20 months.
Locking up protesters for throwing soup is the mark of a broken criminal justice system My column prospectmagazine.co.uk/ideas…

Day 6 of attempting a new world first record and today we FOUND THE SOURCE OF THE COPPENAME RIVER!!!!!!!!!! 🤩🤩
Just as things started to look down and we were really doubting if it was going to happen today, I looked at the guys, saw the hope in their eyes and knew that we’ve GOT this.
And we did!
We followed the river un the mountain, into the dense jungle and found the trickle that was coming out of the mountain.. the SOURCE of the Coppename river.
From here (once we summit the highest mountain first of course), we follow this small trickle all the way until it pours out into the sea.
Here it’s so small we can step over it, but soon it’ll be over 1km wide and we’ll watch it grow into a mighty, although remote and little known river as it eventually pours into the Atlantic Ocean.
It’s been a tough 6 days that has really tested us physically and mentally, but we’re growing stronger every day as individuals and as a team.
And now the true mission begins tomorrow.
Although my feet are falling apart, we aim to summit the highest mountain in the country, Julianatop.
Cheers to this amazing team and to you all….. this is an epic find and the start of creating history 🍻

I detest smoking. It's an awful habit, terrible for your health and I urge anyone to quit.
But. At some stage, we have to trust people to make their own decisions.
If we banned any harmful habit, we'd be living very boring lives.
Where do we draw the line? Alcohol? Unhealthy food? Driving? Contact sport? Why even bother leaving the house at all?
The line of 'protecting' the NHS just doesn't wash. You're in a pub garden. If someone is having a cigarette a few tables away, you are not in any danger. At all.
'Protect' the NHS is the most dangerous slogan in my lifetime. I certainly don't want to see that toxic principle applied to all other areas of society.
Educate people, tell them the facts, and let them make their own decisions. We're all big enough and ugly enough to do that.
Outsourcing responsibility to Government has to stop.
It didn't work during lockdown, and it won't work now.
