Abdul El Sayed's wife, Sarah Jukaku, is the daughter of Dr. Jukaku S. Tayeb, who is also known as Tayeb Jukaku or Jukaku Tayeb. Dr. Tayeb served as the President of CAIR-Michigan from 2005 to 2010, according to IRS disclosures and contemporary reports. He currently remains on the Board of Directors, as listed on CAIR-Michigan's website. Both the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and CAIR were named as unindicted co-conspirators in the 2007–2008 Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing trial, in which leaders of the Holy Land Foundation were convicted of channeling over $12 million to Hamas. Federal prosecutors identified ISNA as one of eight entities that “are and/or were members of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood,” and a federal judge ruled in 2009 that there was “ample evidence” linking these groups to activities associated with Hamas, including shared accounts and transfers.
