Weird to read this as I am on a plane flying back from Sudan after spending days sitting in IDP camps talking to people about how this “new” US approach to humanitarian aid is working out.
Rubio’s claim is “unequivocally” garbage.
Let me share some of what I heard:

Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) has made history, successfully operating the world’s longest train, a massive 696-wagon train measuring 76 kilometres long.
The historic train travelled 861 kilometres from Saldanha in the Western Cape to Loop 18 in the Northern Cape mines between 17 October and 18 October, marking a safe arrival.
In a statement, TFR describes the achievement as more than just a world record. “This world-record triumph showcases the strength of TFR’s railway operations capabilities. Beyond a world record triumph, this was a highly sophisticated engineering and operational exercise.”
The record-breaking operation used advanced Radio Distributed Power (RDP) technology, according to TFR, the operation was the culmination of extensive planning by the Train Design Technology specialists and operations teams, in collaboration with Transnet Engineering, the Transnet Rail Infrastructure Manager (TRIM) and the Railway Safety Regulator.
“This achievement reflects our commitment to innovation, engineering excellence and enhancing freight rail performance for the benefit of the South African economy,” said TFR.

Yes, this version of democracy needs remodeling and changing. But dictatorship and authoritarianism will never be the answer. We need more power in the hands of the people NOT another strongman ruling over us

A byproduct of AfriMAGA discourse is the intra-white debate on the National Question. Perhaps for the 1st time since '94, we're seeing white intellectual engagement on what it means to be in the slipstream of this place; excavating Prof Falkof’s notion of ‘extraordinary victims'

URGENT WARNING:
408 GASTROINTESTINAL ILLNESS CASES IN TSHWANE -CONTAMINATED WATER LINKED TO OUTBREAK
Authorities have linked 408 cases of gastrointestinal illness reported between 7 and 18 October 2026 to contaminated water supplied by the City of Tshwane’s Bronkhorstspruit Water Treatment Works.
📍 Affected areas: Zithobeni, Bronkhorstspruit, Dark City, Rethabiseng and Sokhulumi.
🔴 Most patients are children under four years old. No deaths have been reported.
🔴 Laboratory tests detected Norovirus, Campylobacter and Shigella in patient samples. No cholera bacteria were found in the stool samples tested.
🔴 Water tests revealed extremely high levels of E. coli and total coliforms.
🔴 Investigators found that the treatment plant’s water was not chlorinated between 24 September and 14 October because of problems with the chlorine supplier. The water source is also affected by sewage pollution.
🔴 The City of Tshwane closed the plant on 14 October, restored chlorine supplies and reopened it on 16 October, but the water remains unsafe for drinking.
🚱 URGENT WARNING TO RESIDENTS
Until further notice, residents in areas supplied by the plant must NOT use tap water for drinking, cooking, bathing, brushing teeth, washing food or clothes -even after boiling. Tap water may only be used for flushing toilets.
The City is supplying safe drinking water through tankers, with 36 tankers planned in total. Residents should collect water from these tankers and store it in clean, covered containers.
The Water Research Commission is conducting independent tests, with initial results expected from Wednesday. An investigation into the causes of the contamination is due by 28 October.
Authorities have initiated accountability measures, while health teams continue monitoring cases and educating communities.
The warning remains in force until authorities confirm that the water is safe.

He’s spending $138 million against California’s 5% billionaire wealth tax.
