If a woman has sex with 100 random men in a year, she can still only produce one full term pregnancy. If a guy has sex with 100 random women in a year, he can produce 100 full term pregnancies. So why exactly are we only talking about regulating women?
Social media has taught me one thing. The worst part isn’t always the story you’re reading about. Sometimes it’s seeing how people are reacting to it.
Empathy seems harder to find than likes and laughing emojis. Justice and cruelty aren’t the same thing.

Arkansas is represented of course including at least one seg academy a lag-century into a lily white history in the Delta. And now they qualify for state tax money, no questions asked.
The story behind ProPublica’s new Private School Demographics database began with our need to understand how many “segregation academies” still operate — and where.

In Arkansas, performance of private schools subsidized by public dollars isn't assessed with the same test required of public schools - because vouchers aren't about providing quality schools & meaningful comparisons for parents. They're an ideological attack on public education.
As Texas looks to vouchers, how can a parent tell if a private school is doing well? What test scores can be used to determine quality? trib.al/0oN92Ie

Replying to @karolineleavitt
@karolineleavitt is absolutely crushing her role as @PressSec more importantly as a mom. So proud to call her my friend and introduce her to my daughter. You got this!

If you think this is ok, something is wrong with you. Explain an unelected, unvetted, unconfirmed, individual who hasn’t been subjected to the same security clearances or higher as these civil servants has the authority to do this?!
This feels as if we are being attacked from within, FULL FUCKING STOP!
In a minute, I think they are going to continuously ignore court orders that are granted against them. You see what happens, America, when you put a conman convicted felon into the White House… HE DOES NOT ABIDE BY THE LAW.
It feels like y’all literally told the robber to come on in and rob us blind. 😡
Courage is not where you stand in times of comfort, but where you stand in times of discomfort… I’m ready to see some Republicans find their spines! We have to do what’s right, TOGETHER!

“Racism is still real” is a thing that had to be said from the State Senate well today.
Thank you Sen Murdoch for speaking up. It’s a damn shame you had to say this at all.
Proud of @ArkDems for fighting this nasty, petty, regressive nonsense.
Senator Reginald Murdock speaks OUT on the floor today on SB3 🔥🔥
“I ain’t mad— but when someone brings something like this as though we have gotten equal. As though the playing field is level now, and now let’s just go forward on a level playing field. We know it’s not there. How do we know? Look in the mirror. Look around us, in every community. Racism is still real.”

Texas cannot afford to fund School Choice and TRS. According to the Senate Budget Board’s Actuarily Report, if the number of public schools students dips even slightly, the state will no longer be able to afford TRS. The report states that if the school choice bill passes, the contribution level to TRS will have to increase or the state will only have 12 years of TRS funds available. The Senate knows, per their own reports, that the state can’t afford to fund both both TRS and school choice but plan to pass it anyway. #txed #txlege #SB2 #vouchers #scam #schoolChoice @RYHTexas @Texans4E @ZachRunsThings @DefendingEd @TXEDEXPOSED @TexasTribune @scottbraddock @quorumreport #SD7

So a white man who hates libraries and PBS also hates affirmative action. If there is reincarnation, may Dan Sullivan come back as an aging Black woman who runs a library. May the only tv he can get be AR PBS with a daily Sesame Street marathon. Thread…

This bill ending affirmative action is a sweeping measure with myriad consequences (see reporting below from Matt Campbell). The fact that a Senate committee of 8 white men pushed it through in an afternoon without more scrutiny shows the legislature's brokenness.

I’ve always wondered what qualifies as “government dependency”. Seems like living off the government dime your entire life would qualify. Maybe Medicaid recipients aren’t the only ones in need of a work requirement.
Arkansas is forging ahead with a new work requirement for hundreds of thousands of people on Medicaid. Like her predecessor, Asa Hutchinson, Gov. Sanders framed the new rule not as a burden but as a way to set people free from "government dependency."
