The St. John and the 501 on the table at @850Degrees.
Which one are you reaching for?
We’ve learned over the years that no two tables order quite the same way. Behind the counter, every pizza gets our full attention before it reaches the 850 degree oven. That part never changes.
Our regulars know the calzone doesn’t make much noise about itself. Folded by hand, stone baked at 850° and served with our tomato sauce on the side. It doesn’t get all the attention, but that’s never bothered us.
Some pizzas just belong to summer.
Another 850 classic summer pizza. Oven caramelized Ontario peaches in red wine, prosciutto, arugula and mozzarella cheese, finished with a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
When we opened in Long Branch in 2014, we wanted 850 to be a place where families could sit down, share a meal and spend some time together. That still means a lot to us.
About two minutes. That’s all a pizza needs in our 850-degree oven.
It goes in as dough and comes out blistered, charred and ready for the table. You learn to watch the oven closely.
Here’s a date night fact: pizza takes about two minutes in our 850-degree oven. Deciding who gets the last slice usually takes longer. Pasta helps keep the peace at @850Degrees.
Where does our pepperoni come from? The Belaga family in Southwestern Ontario. It goes onto our 130-year-old dough recipe, then into the stone oven at 850 degrees. Local meat, an old recipe, and about two minutes in the oven.
Our regulars already know this one. The calzone. Folded by hand, stone-baked at 850° and served with our tomato sauce on the side. It doesn’t get all the attention, but that’s never bothered us.
