🐊 The Real Florida isn’t made up of golf courses and resorts.
🐊The Real Florida is the natural beauty.
🐊The real Florida is alligators, panthers, and Gar.
🐊The real Florida is cypress trees, southern magnolias, beauty berries, and clean fresh springs.
City is saying the professional report is flawed… yet the city refused to produce their fire ledgers.
Dailey, Williams-Cox, and Richardson are pushing through the candidate they want.
And Dailey wants a 5-0 vote to show the community (control the narrative) that it’s unanimous.
This further divides public trust. Dailey is also going to be the negotiator of her contract.
Mayor Dailey felt urban cooling features (splash pads, shade, etc) should be postponed until the new commission is in bc “it’s so important”… but he pushed for the new manger search to continue prior to the new commission…
Our school board set the tone for the district tonight. Jones, Smith, and Nicolas upheld the recommendation made by the investigator for Shively’s (HR director) substantiated harassment claim. These are the small wins worth celebrating bc they change the culture in the district.
Leon County Government sets the standard locally for the way they listen to neighbors as well as respect each other.
Do elected officials have to go to the chamber retreat at Amelia Island to meet with members on topics such as increasing the half penny sales tax for the school district?

NEW: A group of doctors, geologists and local commissioners are holding a press conference to announce they believe PFAS, "forever chemicals," are coming from a City of Tallahassee wastewater spray field.
"We don't even have a bandaid approach," said Dr. Ron Saff.
Leon County Schools stream of their meeting is as consistent as the stories Hanna is telling the public about the budget.

I had to step in the puddle to press the crosswalk button. I stepped off the curb and went around the puddle to walk across, but if I were in a wheelchair I would have to go through this and it’s pretty deep.
Also no one ever stops for the crosswalk lights. Attn: @CityofTLH
Unfortunately, our Commissioner of Education is more concerned with where teachers spend their personal money than he his with investing a district that allowed the superintendent to give himself a 26% raise ($42k) without a board vote and who is obfuscating PRR
Teacher unions are more focused on advancing activism than prioritizing student safety or supporting the educators they represent.
Thanks to bill sponsors @jenna_persons and @JonMartinEsq, teacher unions will be more transparent and accountable to those they represent.

Darryl Jones asked Vancore tonight at the review if he thought placing a ballot referendum for an appointed superintendent would pass. He has stated his enthusiastic support and content with Rocky Hanna. ☕️🫖
John Dailey, Dianne Williams-Cox, and Curtis Richardson all voted against hearing our neighbors in non-agenda public comment portion.
A good leader is able to set the tone without silencing the voices.
Leon County schools failed to stream their annual retreat today. Raising concerns from neighbors about what was discussed. The government functions in the sunshine yet LCS continues to mute comments on videos, reportedly deletes unfavorable comments, and fails to stream meetings
There were other options if our commissioners were open to other routes. We deserve a commission willing to do the work to protect public assets.

Matlow proposes taking out a $2 million bond that the club would pay back over 15 years, though the club would retain its lease for 30.
He says FAMU would retain its ability to use the course.
