thought about putting out my shitty little voice memo versions of songs i’ve written through the last several years and a few unreleased things. might be kinda cathartic. anyone interested in listening to me banging out a song on my garage-sale keyboard?

for those who are still here and care to hear news that isn’t music-related: i’m starting faculty research for the first time this semester & will start my undergrad research project next semester. life is fucking wild. never thought i was cut out for college but here we are :’)

as another side note: creative people can do STEM things too !! Never realized how much i loved neuroscience and statistics until i went to school bc the idea that creative people are usually inept in those fields is so ingrained in me. utter bullshit. science is rad

all that said, if there are any of you who feel like you are trapped in a shell that you have completely outgrown PLEASE do not feel stuck. don’t shrink back into yourself. life is too fucking short. it’s never too late to find a new passion and build a new life for yourself ❤️

i still plan on working on music whenever my heart feels called to do so. it’s a very important piece of who i am, but it’s not *everything* and that distinction is what has completely transformed my existence over the past year

so long story short: i’ve continued taking classes at my local university and I plan to finish my bachelors in psychology before moving on to graduate school to pursue neuropsychology. It’s pretty damn comical how far-removed it is from music but i feel very happy and fulfilled

life-long career in music. I have too much love in my heart for it to continue to allow it to be corrupted while also being gaslit by A&Rs and managers and publishers who try to normalize an attitude about life/success that isn’t healthy for anyone. (cont..)
