I'm a 4000-hour newbie and this makes absolutely zero sense!! Maybe because I was trained in the "modern days", and I know some people will say "you don't know what you would've done because you weren't in their seat" but I respectfully disagree. I would've called a go-around at 500ft at the very least. This situation is astonishing... I can't get my head around how this happens in 2026!
What the fuck were these guys doing?!
Touch down at 158 knots, brakes don’t come on until 146 knots, then at 120 knots they RELEASE the brakes and add go-around thrust… only to abandon the go-around 4 seconds later at 117 knots, pull the throttles back to idle and get back on the brakes.
No speedbrakes. No thrust reversers. No auto brakes?
Landing → go-around → nope, we’re stopping again… all while rapidly running out of runway.
I’ve probably got 8,000+ hours in the 767, and as an airline pilot, I’m genuinely trying to understand the decision-making here. This sequence of events just makes absolutely no sense to me.
The CVR is going to be VERY interesting because something clearly went seriously wrong in that cockpit. 🤦♂️

Il faut trouver un terme d’extrême droite pour qualifier tous ces noix et ces arbres. Un terme qui tient la route et passe toutes les modérations. Marre de devoir prendre des gants à chaque fois et de ne pas pouvoir dire les termes.

L'inévitable alliance tacite entre le PQ et le PCQ.
Aucun des deux partis n'a intérêt à entrer rapidement en élections.
Le PQ doit prouver à l'électorat qu'il sait écouter et gouverner raisonnablement pour éventuellement avoir sa majorité.
Le PCQ doit prouver son sérieux parlementaire afin d'éviter de reproduire la catastrophe adéquiste de 2007-2008 (passer de 41 à 7 députés).
Comme QS est rageusement anti-PQ qu'il voit comme un parti xénophobe et que le PLQ jouera l'opposition systématique, le PCQ est le partenaire naturel du PQ, surtout vu les nombreuses accointances programmatiques.

Disappointing to see the PQ elected in Quebec, but encouraging to see that 72% of Quebecers voted for parties opposed to a secession referendum.
It's clear that the PQ was denied a majority, winning only 28% of popular vote, because of its commitment to holding a referendum.
In Quebec, no government dares to hold a referendum on something so divisive and consequential as secession unless they are elected with a clear democratic mandate to do so, which this government lacks.
Huge congratulations to my good friend of 30 years, the brilliant @E_Duhaime, on the historic @PconservateurQc breakthrough. He has won the first Conservative presence in the National Assembly in nearly a century!
