Jay Z in 8: I knew episodes 3 and 4 were going to be heavy between the subject matter and the songs they teased in the synopsis, it was obvious we were going deep into some really painful chapters of Jay’s life, but nothing prepared me for watching him relive those moments. Seeing him with that heavy heart, literally hugging himself as he listened to those lyrics… that broke me. I have such a deeper appreciation for this music now. And I really appreciate how vulnerable he’s being in this documentary😮‍💨
