A September 28 complaint by the National Legal and Policy Center identified discrepancies between Nixon's state and federal financial disclosures.
Her Florida disclosure listed approximately $14,000 owed to the IRS.
It also listed more than $17,600 in student loan debt.
The watchdog organization alleged that neither debt appeared on her federal candidate disclosure.
