New product launch: Today we’re launching LV Apex Suite, a new product suite for lentiviral vector production. This marks 64x Bio’s expansion from AAV into LV — and another step in translating our CellMap-driven VectorSelect platform across new modalities. LV Apex Suite begins with a high yield engineered HEK293T suspension cell line for transient LV production, with stable systems and additional production-enabling technologies in development. More broadly, this launch reflects where 64x Bio is headed: expanding CellMap as a data foundation for production biology, and learning from those data computationally to iteratively guide development of better cell lines, reagents, and production systems for viral vectors — and soon, biologics. To learn more about LV Apex Suite, read our press release below and visit 64xbio.com/lvapexsuite. Press release: 64xbio.com/articles/64x-bio-…

I joined @iamjulieo, @KateRochlin, and @bruna_paulsen last week at BIO, to talk about biomanufacturing for advanced medicines -- such a critical piece of making this field work. Big thanks to @MadridMarinna for moderating and giving me the opportunity to spotlight the work we've been doing to help tackle these challenges through our platform and new product line, AAV Apex Suite. Of course, none of this would be possible without the incredible team @64xbio -- they're the ones doing the real heavy lifting.

Great coverage from @UduakThomas9861 at GEN on how our team @64xbio is working hard to build solutions for manufacturing bottlenecks in gene therapy, starting with our new Apex Suite. We had a great (and jet lagged) conversation at BIO in Boston last week: genengnews.com/topics/biopro…

Super fortunate to have @FutureJurvetson in our corner very early on before the dream was a reality! Steve and Maryanna at Future are as good as it gets. Grateful for you both 🙏
And currently on stage, Lexi Rovner, CEO of @64xBio, the most efficient AAV supplier for scaling mammalian cell line manufacturing (we are investors)

Today we’re announcing AAV Apex Suite, a powerful suite of tools for end-to-end AAV production. The future of medicine is taking shape, but scaling it remains a challenge. Some of the biggest breakthroughs in gene therapy continue to be held back by manufacturing constraints. Overcoming this barrier will be a key step in moving the field forward. AAV Apex Suite includes engineered suspension-adapted HEK293 clonal cell lines and robust, transfer-ready processes built around commercially available consumables. Our cell lines have been independently confirmed by partners across multiple scales, serotypes, and therapeutic payloads at high titer and quality. As an initial demonstration of our VectorSelect platform, AAV Apex cell lines already achieve unconcentrated bioreactor titers over E15 viral genomes per liter. Read our press release: 64xbio.com/articles/64x-bio-… Learn more about AAV Apex Suite, our VectorSelect platform, and how to work with us, on our new website at 64xbio.com, developed in collaboration with the talented team at Bunsen!

A nice summary of what 64x is working on from one of our first investors. Thanks @sethbannon @fiftyyears!

Our enthusiasm is a combination of first principles analysis on the likelihood that HEK293 or other existing cell lines that we used to manufacture viral vectors are optimal (very low), with first principles analysis of the 64x approach to finding better cell lines (good), with data they've shown on their ability to find increases in performance through their multiplexed screening (also good). Over a 10 year time, we're also likely to have much better viral vectors which require less to be manufactured. And I wouldn't be surprised if we also see some breakthroughs and cell-free manufacture of them.
