With the well noted additional slippage protection, it's like wearing an armor in the dark forest with a sniper.

Base trenches are getting hot but let's be careful of all kinds of Uniswap V4 hook tokens.
1/ Uniswap v4 hooks are custom smart contracts that get called at specific points in a pool’s lifecycle: before/after a swap, adding/removing liquidity, donating, etc.
They let devs build crazy features (dynamic fees, TWAMM, limit orders, onchain auctions etc). But because they run arbitrary code, they can also hide extremely complicated malicious logic inside the contract that normal scanners miss.
2/ Classic example: $HANTA
The team deployed a v4 hook that implemented a 99% sell tax… but in a super sophisticated way. The tax logic was conditional and didn’t trigger on small amounts. Tiny test swaps (what most honeypot detectors + security bots use) → 0% tax, passes all checks.
Once a user tries to sell any meaningful size → boom, 99% tax kicks in and your funds get drained to the dev wallet.
It was deliberately engineered to evade detection. Most automated tools never saw the trap because they never simulated a real-sized sell.
3/ This is exactly why @o1_exchange is a game-changer for Uniswap v4 safety. @o1_exchange coming:
