Today I had to let my main man go.
Tomorrow will be the first/worst day in almost 15 and a half years without my best friend. Lucky to have had him for so long, but this is crushing.

Not a great start...
These next 13 games for the #NYR are almost all against opponents no one has as a lock for the playoffs except a pair vs EDM. If they've truly turned it around they should plow through with 8+ wins.
If regression comes during a softer stretch of opponents that's not a good sign.
Dorofeyev literally had no idea what to do there. Total short circuit with 47363636283 things flying through his brain.

"Obviously, our last 2 games, I don't think we've been at our best...When you combine them as 6 periods, it's not a great picture. I'd like to think we're better than that, and we have been better than that for a lot of the year. It reflects in the record that the group has. Are we satisfied with what we're generating offensively? No. Do we think there's another level to it? Yes, we do. I think the biggest thing in-zone - and this is a disucssion we've had with our group - is our willingness to create off the shot more. We’re passing up opportunities to shoot more pucks.”
