Throwback to when Clyde1 brought on an Afghan refugee to argue that what I was doing was dangerous. They put him on after I had already left, so I never got the chance to ask this: if it is too dangerous for me to go to Afghanistan because of the people there, why is it not a danger when those same people come here? Clearly not every Afghan refugee arrives with bad intentions, but to pretend it poses no threat at all is absurd. Again, it is simply a question I would have liked to ask. It would have been interesting to watch them try to label a man who spends most of his travels in Islamic countries, spends a lot of time Pakistan, and has just as many non-white mates around the world as white ones. The news and the government do their best to scare you out of travelling, but I’m only on this spinning globe for a short time, so I might as well see the fucking thing.
