Harriet Thomas, 10, was one of our recent Road Safety Wales Poster Competition winners.
Young people were invited to design a poster to promote the safe use of active travel, the benefits of 20 mph speed limits on communities or to encourage safer driver behaviour across Wales.
ALT HARRIET CREATED A REALLY COLOURFUL POSTER ENTITLED SLOW DOWN FOR A SAFER TOWN WITH A PICTURE OF A GLOBE IN THE CENTRE FEATURING AREAS OF NEWPORT. ON THE LEFT OF THE POSTER THERE ARE 3 GREEN TICKS SHOWING KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD, KEEP YOUR DISTANCE AND ABIDE BY THE SPEED LIMIT WITH A 20MPH SIGN UNDERNEATH. ON THE RIGHT OF THE POSTER THERE ARE THREE RED X'S WITH DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE, DON'T USE YOUR PHONE WHEN DRIVING AND DO NOT SPEED. UNDERNEATH THESE WE HAVE A 'STOP CHILDREN' SIGN
