Parents of HS recruits: If you're wondering why the phone's been quiet this January—it's normal. Right now, college coaches are locked in on the transfer portal (open Jan 2-16) to fill immediate roster needs with proven players. High school recruiting now pauses until the portal closes & teams know their exact scholarship spots/depth needs. Once it wraps up next week, expect more outreach to HS prospects heading into the late signing period. ✅
