With this setup I can distribute a curve on a grid and use geometry-nodes fields to run parameters grid test. Here I'm testing repulsion and attraction factors on X and Y axes #b3d #differentialgrowth

Testing on multiple curves, with obstacles and higher level of details. Running also the mesh variant, which hasn't pretty topology, but kinda works. #b3d #differentialgrowth

Updating my Differential-Growth Blender setup with the new Geometry-Nodes utils, like new "Merge Points", "Volume Grids", "Curve to Tube" and more... Also improving the algo overall for attraction and avoidance #b3d

Added stochastic functionality to the L-system setup, and tested distribution for "forest-like" gen. Can be improved my randomizing more parameters like system type and materials, or even controlled via other attributes. #b3d

More wind experiments on some L-system results, cleaning up the dedicated modifier to use with the final setup. Wind is a combination of a position 4D noise and a direction scaled by 1D noise. #b3d #lsystem

A powerful aspect of L-system is branching. I handle it in Blender by simulating a LIFO stack as the "turtle extruded" for each symbol. Push and pop vertices based on the "[" and "]" symbols. Could be implemented in a more performant way via Lists maybe. #b3d #lsystem

Updating my L-System Blender setup with the new Geometry-Nodes utils. Already got a 10x performance boost. Also look how nice and tidy with nested "Menu Switch" for preset selection. Bundles and Closures are like savers.

Love the 3D results I can obtain now with the great performances and flexibility of Volume Grids. Both as mesh or pure volumes

And the 2D version is more lovely than ever! Especially now that I finalized the Gray-Scott formulation with some tried and tested presets.

While the basic approach for reaction-diffusion is nice, it cannot compare in complexity and beauty with the other formulations like the Gray-Scott model. Here included and improved in my Blender geometry-nodes setup. Next is some 3D iterations. #b3d #reactiondiffusion
