A man I admire greatly, an awakened individual in all senses, his name is Paul Johnson. A Chicago house dj who had a tragic accident, in and out of hospitals more than any sane American could count, yet still showed up every fucking day with the biggest smile. When I see guys like him step up while he's on a wheel chair? It humbles me, makes me check myself. I feel gratitude. Not for the ability to walk, but because I was fortunate enough to know cats like him who taught me how to view the world the right way. He taught me to smile in the face of adversity, and laugh off the naysayers. While my main dj mentor was the one who taught me how to seek out pressure to harden my outer shell to prep for the impending doom we live in, PJ was the one who taught me humility on a level I'm only coming to grips with now. His silent struggles, narrated poetically by @5Magazine moved me to tears. Believe a 30 year vet when I tell you, PJ was the very best of the best, one that could go neck and neck with my beloved blucu, and I'm not even mad saying that cause Paul killed it, again, and again. Every single fucking time. His passion for underground house music, is the very same passion I transmute to be the trader I am in the futures market today. Some think it's unrelated? No sir, the mindset is all the same to me. May Paul's beautiful soul rest in peace. If you like this story, have a listen to Paul Johnson y'all, he Potent AF. youtu.be/djNLgDBM-3c?si=E1yX…
