The thing that pisses me off about the media voters who can’t make a layup is that they play both sides. For example, when Matt Painter takes an unranked team (nerds’ opinions) to a top-4 seed by March (which he will) we’ll hear “oh Purdue should’ve been this good, of course Painter has them playing well”. There will be no admission of error as media nerds can never be wrong. Matt Painter is going to take a team that is unranked in their polls to at least a top-4 seed in the NCAAT and they’ll turn around and give their Coach-of-the-Year vote to a HC that took a top-5-team-all-year to the number-1 overall seed. Just watch.
