There are definitely compelling arguments for Ken Paxton be favored to win in Texas. But IMO "Texas hasn't gone blue statewide since 1994, you're delusional if you think that will ever change" just isn't one of them.

And once those trends do finally break, we all just quickly accept the new reality โ like all of these states now being either perennial battleground states (Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina) or relatively safe blue states (Virginia).
Arch doesnโt move the offense.
He lacks the same gravity as Vince Young and Colt McCoy. The defenses donโt respect him. Sark is kind of asking to be on the hot seat by rolling with this guy for the second consecutive year.
Maybe try Dia Bell or someone else and save his job.
