Sophie might be the only other player who pointed out that the refs are not paid enough (the other being CC). Others are just complaining without making suggestion on how to improve the officiating.
WNBA should make it right to these refs.

If you're upset at anyone other than the W or Dream for having Atlanta in a 3,500 seat arena for the finals... you're the problem.
This should have been thought of a looong time ago.

The Seattle Storm suspended Co-Owner Celeste Keaton 5 games for swearing at teenage Sophie Cunningham fans. That same game, someone spat in the face of a Fever fan. To say itβs always a Fever fan because someone pointed at Aβja Wilson is a disgusting lie.
Apparently, the new WNBA commish need not only clean-up the officiating, she/he may need to review the people who were given the privilege to vote for these end-of-season awards.
Because if this is not corruption, I don't know what is.

74 voters shouldn't have exclusive power to alter player's contract earning potential from subjective preference. Statistically superior production should equal equal opportunity. Time to reform WNBA post-season voting into a transparent, hybrid stat-and-record framework #wnba
In a way, I kinda feel sorry for Olivia Miles. I'm sure she just wants to hoop but then she got used by people with agenda and was pushed as CC's rival when she clearly isn't.
And even then, I don't think she will. The WNBA credentialed media are a bunch of hateful miserable people who makes excuses for players with bad attitude/behavior.
No wonder nobody watches this dump before CC.
Seeing Olivia Miles receive more MVP votes than Caitlin Clark tells me all I need to know. At this point, unless Caitlin averages 27 PPG, 5 RPG, and 10 APG, Iβm not sure what it will take for her to win MVP. Olivia had a good season, but she did not have a better season than Caitlin. This is exactly why people question the voting.

Iβm Sick Of Getting Told Itβs Bad Because I Have One Favorite Player?? Only The WNBA Would Tell You Root For Others Because One Already Gets Too Much Love
Tiffany Hayes Threatened Caitlinβs Life Online This Year & The League Did Nothing, Aβja Broke League Policy Which Shouldβve Been A Suspension & She Walked Away Without Even A Warning Itβs Sick!!

Listening to Kelsey Mitchell's exit interview, I couldn't help but laugh a little.
Not because what she's describing isn't difficult. I'm sure it is.
But I continue to believe that one of the biggest adjustments happening in the WNBA right now is that these women are learning what it's like to play in a genuinely relevant, heavily scrutinized professional sports league.
KM talked about how hard it is being a Fever player. About waking up every day and giving your best, only for your best to not be enough for some people.
And my lifelong sports-fan reaction was basically:
Well...yeah. π
Ask an NFL kicker who misses a 38-yarder to lose a playoff game how many fans appreciate that he "gave his best."
Ask an NBA point guard who goes 3-for-17 in Game 7.
Ask an Iowa QB after three straight three-and-outs. π
She talked about how hard it is "showing up every day to compete for fans that may or may not like you."
Kelsey...
Sports fans have disliked players ON THEIR OWN TEAM since approximately 15 minutes after sports were invented. π
Iowa fans can love the Hawkeyes with every molecule in their bodies while simultaneously demanding that somebody be benched, fired, or launched directly into the sun.
That's SPORTS. π
And I've never seen a professional sports league collectively so consumed by social media discourse.
Players talk about tweets. Coaches talk about tweets. Reporters ask players about tweets. Other players respond to those comments. ESPN discusses the response. Then somebody's podcast discusses ESPN discussing the response to the response. π
Caitlin Clark didn't invent obnoxious sports fans.
She brought an enormous number of mainstream sports fans into a league that had never experienced this level of attention and scrutiny before.
And THAT'S the distinction.
What they're experiencing may genuinely be new for the WNBA.
It is absolutely NOT new for professional sports.
Fans second-guess you.
Fans criticize you.
Fans irrationally blame you for losses.
Fans love the superstar more than they love you.
Fans scream that you should pass her the damn ball.
Fans demand trades.
Fans say stupid shit on the internet.
Welcome to big-time sports! You've made it! π
For decades the WNBA wanted more attention. Bigger audiences. Packed arenas. Better TV ratings. More money. More relevance.
Well...
Mainstream sports relevance comes with mainstream sports bullshit. π β at Byron, MN

The incompetency of the WNBA officials is truly stunning.
Hmn...
This is big news for the WNBA. I can confirm that the NBA has hired the executive search arm of Caitlin Clarkβs agency to find the next WNBA commissioner. Perhaps the ridiculous minimization of Clarkβs impact, led by Cathy Engelbert, is coming to an end.

I don't know what else to tell you retards who still defend Stephanie White. I gave her every chance. I gave her the benefit of the doubt more than most. But the truth is taking the ball out of Caitlin Clark hands is coaching malpractice. She has to go, or get my girl out of here
I was right! Should have placed a bet on this.
I think they had more chance if she sat out this game.
Couldn't even bring herself to get ejected with her players getting mauled out there.
Lame ass coach.
