She says she later discovered that Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) had reportedly received R12.5 million for a project that she believes was the same as, or closely resembled, the idea she had previously submitted to CETA. She also raised concerns about a similar project linked to Lea College. What makes this even more serious is her claim that, after questioning CETA, she was allegedly provided with written confirmation referring to an “overlap” between the projects. WOW. This is deeply concerning. 😳 If someone's idea was submitted in good faith, rejected, and then a substantially similar project later received five times the funding requested, that raises legitimate questions. What happened to her proposal? Who had access to it? Was her intellectual property properly protected? And how did an alleged “overlap” occur? Sitso deserves clear answers. R2.5 million was rejected.
