Random baseball item of the day…the Dodgers and Giants are still 7 years away from being in California longer than they were in New York. @notgaetti

Baseball tweet of the day.
Care to keep the same energy?

So tired of managers saying “we.” It’s a tacit way of deflecting accountability. This tells me nobody is at the helm of the Angels. Leadership by committee fails in every endeavor. @shegone03 @notgaetti
Kurt Suzuki on why he went to Kirby Yates in the 9th inning: “In that spot we just feel like he’s throwing the ball good, where everything kind of lines up.” (@JeffFletcherOCR)

Williams also didn’t have batting machines that mimicked the pitcher he was about to face. The guy would have lived in the cage if he had a Trajekt to work with. Something tells me he would have raked in any era.
Replying to @RonDeSantis
Pitchers back then didn’t have anything in their bag of tricks like they have now. Williams would not put up those numbers with today’s pitchers and the rotation in current baseball

Here’s another baseball “fan.”
They are all just being obtuse. I agree with you completely. Still have the ump back there, but just have ABS judge balls and strikes.

Hey, @MLBNetwork, are we not doing the Top Ten by position shows this year?? That’s my favorite show on the Network for the entire year! What’s going on?

Is there a more awkward and unfunny TV personality on @MLBNetwork than Ryan Dempster? IT has been nearly unwatchable since they let @ChrisRose go.

It’s true. Some people don’t get sarcasm.

Let’s compare to your job. Is an alarm clock over the line? If you can’t wake up on time for work naturally, you should be fired.

I could look as Eckersley’s stats all day. What if he had stayed a starter. Would he have won 300? 3000 Ks? Would he have pitched until 43? He was a terrific starter and a dominant closer and the split is right in the middle of his career. Such an interesting BR page! @notgaetti

And then there are people who just like to argue for no good reason.

False, there is a bunch of NBA fans that talk about players in this way…guys who may put up stats but are not winning players, think Russell Westbrook.

A “solid” contact hitter about to win his 3rd consecutive batting title still isn’t good enough for some people.
Replying to @45halos
I appreciate that he is a solid contact hitter with limited other skills. Both things can be true. Hes terrible at defense. Hes not a fast runner. He has very limited power. He chases more balls out of the zone than any player in baseball. Hes one dimensional.

Dear @MLBNetwork, How can I start a petition to remove Ryan Dempster from Intentional Talk? Absolutely unwatchable. Thank you.

Hey, @MLBNetwork! High five to you including live stream of the network for MLB.TV subscribers! But how do you access it from the MLB app? MLB Now is airing right now and there no link for the network in the app. What gives?

Every time @EricaLWeston interviews Logan O’Hoppe, I can’t help but think that dude is a future MLB manager. @Markgubicza

Hey, @Angels! Why are there guys in the lineup today wearing #15 and #16? Those numbers belong to two of the greatest players in team history and are inexplicably not retired. What are we waiting for??

I’m not going to tell Mike Trout how to hit but it sure seems like he gets into 0-2 counts almost every at bat. @Markgubicza

@Bbl_Astrophyscs Need your help. Surely you’ve seen ump scorecards. They say this ump’s estimated zone is half the size of the real zone and all pitches down the pipe are balls. I keep tweeting them to show their math. They ignore me. Please put them on blast. Umps need love, too

Here’s another one. On what basis is the estimated zone bigger than the real zone. Literally zero balls were called strikes in this game. What data points were used? Show the math!!
