The text of a constitutional amendment is not a "loophole."
(And it says exactly what was intended.)
Replying to @justinamash
Why should a loophole in the Fourteenth Amendment—designed for freed slaves—now incentivize illegal immigration? The intent matters, not just the text. The authors didn’t foresee the modern abuse of birthright citizenship.

What I like most about this clip is that she's already at why before he asks it. She's gamed out all the most likely questions and has ready answers. Great advocacy.
If you’re looking for a masterclass in lawyering, listen to this clip of Elizabeth Prelogar absolutely demolishing Justice Sam Alito - she got her hands on him and didn’t let him go 😭 I know who my GOAT is (also that’s @Eli_Kunene dying in the background).

Banks are private entities, and therefore not subject to the First Amendment. Attorneys General really ought to be aware of this.

ALT Screenshot of X post: Attorney General Andrew Bailey @AGAndrewBailey: “Proud to be one of 15 AGs demanding answers from Bank of America for reportedly debanking Missourians. If any company is punishing consumers because of their political beliefs, that may constitute a serious violation of the First Amendment. We will get to the bottom of it.”

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT 📣
Moving a state criminal prosecution to federal court under 28 USC 1442 does not change the nature of the charges.
So if Trump or other defendants in Fulton County move the case to federal court, they still won’t be eligible for federal pardons!👇

During the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting (where 60 American citizens died at a country music festival) the singer on stage at the time was Jason Aldean. Without warning the crowd, he heroically dropped his mic and ran like a MF Josh Hawley on January 6th. Try that in a small town.
