So ya’ll said you were voting for an “America first man of the people” because he was “strong on the economy” but what you got was a foreign born billionaire who’s shutting our government down & crippling our economy at Christmas, when it will hurt YOU the most. Well fucking done.

Our sibs who struck ATI are battling to ensure that workers never face that kind of unfair fight again. They’re advocating for laws providing unemployment compensation to keep employers from attempting to starve us into submission. Read how in our blog: usw.to/4ts

The 'Democrats for Rockey' sign people are interesting esp. when you see your neighborhood GQP lady holding one. Those sunglasses don't mask who you are as much as you think dear. I'm mildly amused by the Weinstein revenge tour too.

An Alabama woman was imprisoned for “endangering' her fetus.” Then she gave birth in a jail shower. Sheriffs in Etowah county, Alabama, arrested Ashley Caswell on accusations that she’d tested positive for methamphetamine while pregnant and was “endangering” her fetus. Caswell, who was two months pregnant at the time, became one of a growing number of women imprisoned in the county in the name of protecting their “unborn children”. But over the next seven months of incarceration for “chemical endangerment” in the Etowah county detention center (ECDC), Caswell was denied regular access to prenatal visits, even as officials were aware her pregnancy was high-risk due to her hypertension and abnormal pap smears, according to a lawsuit filed on Friday against the county and the sheriff’s department. She was also denied her prescribed psychiatric medication and slept on a thin mat on the concrete floor of the detention center for her entire pregnancy. When her water broke and she pleaded to be taken to a hospital, her lawyer says, officials told her to “sleep it off” and “wait until Monday” to deliver – two days away. During nearly 12 hours of labor, staff gave her only Tylenol for her pain, the suit says, allegedly telling her to “stop screaming”, to “deal with the pain” and that she was “not in full labor”. Caswell lost amniotic fluid and blood and was alone and standing up in a jail shower when she ultimately delivered her child. She nearly bled to death. Republicans are Pro-Life my ass.

Warden Harper has created an environment of dysfunction and fear within the Allegheny County Jail for years, and I'm glad to see that those who work and reside within the jail will no longer to subject to his mistreatment.

Did @votefitz worry about wage compression when he gave McKain, Liptak, and Pilarski 25k raises? Or is this tantrum about @bethanyhallam outmaneuvering politically him & his inability to anoint the next @Allegheny_Co Executive. #RespectUsProtectUsPayUs

Politics 101 signs don’t vote. (Especially those at businesses).

Team @Weinstein4Exec’s current attempt at graphics. Not much talent here. Maybe if they paid better they’d have quality comms material. 😂

What desperate hackery on the part of team Weinstein illustrates how disconnected this candidate is with the issues that are important to working families.

This has failed miserably in the last. Ask communities like Carnegie and East Liberty how that worked for them when they tried it 30 years ago.
I would love to see this in Strip District or Market Square, but I think at this point, not sure there's enough critical mass to support this in Pittsburgh. Maybe it would just take some bravery from city officials & it would succeed, but could see an equal chance at a backlash

If @SteveZappala wanted to address the real issue he would be taking the firearm manufacturers who flooded our communities with guns to court.
Maybe, just maybe, the DA actually believes that the “gaps” in security he’s concerned about could lead to an incident like last year where we won’t be so lucky. If you have a shooting at Kennywood where children are injured, or God forbid, killed, Kennywood is going to have a lot bigger worries than the DA’s press conference and comments.
