A civilization isn’t measured by technology or by money. It’s measured by the absence of violence and fear of violence among the population. By that metric, we need to reconsider which countries are truly civilized.

BREAKING: President Trump tells Fox News’ Trey Yingst that:
“The current choices on the table are wiping Iran out, letting them rot economically or making a deal. My question is when and if, I blow the entire nation up, they better behave."
THOUGHTS: Let’s make one thing VERY clear here… Iran is not going to capitulate on their red lines. Period. End of story.
The ONLY way in which the United States can “win” this war is if the Iranian citizenry rises up and topples the current government.
Now do me a favor. Ask yourself this question: WHY would they want to risk their lives anymore to help President Trump?
Look at the actions of the United States throughout this war.
Day one. Mass assassinations to include the religious figure of Ayatollah Khamenei. Then? Slaughtered 168 schoolchildren at Minab.
After that, the United States bombed pharmaceutical plants. Water infrastructure. Economic infrastructure putting hundreds of thousands out of work.
Then we imposed a blockade SPECIFICALLY meant to maximize civilian suffering. Then Trump threatened Bridge and Power Plants Day.
Then Trump threatened to “wipe out their entire civilization”… MULTIPLE TIMES.
This is yet another example of Trump ENSURING that the Iranian people NEVER rise up in a meaningful way to topple their government.
Before this war, many Iranians believed that President Trump wanted to “save them”.
Now? It’s clear as day Trump, the United States, and Israel just want to erase Persia from the history books.
"[Trump] is in a deciding mode and that very big things are gonna be happening in the not so distant future. The current choices on the table are wiping Iran out, letting them rot economically or making a deal. My question is when and if, I blow the entire nation up, they better behave."

Jimmy Dore is right. Capitalism died long ago.
The rentier elites no longer need a market. They need the state, and they have it: an economy planned by Wall Street and enforced by the Federal Reserve. Bail out the banks, print the money, inflate the assets, freeze the wage.
They invented the "welfare queen" so you would spend four decades furious at a woman buying steak with food stamps.
The real welfare queens are oligarchs with a treasury and a printing press.
They socialize the losses, extract the wealth, and bill you three times: in frozen wages, in rising rents, in ever-growing debts.

Remember there were several books out about the 1990s bubble during 1999 including the Devil Take the Hindmost by Edward Chancellor, the New New Thing by Michael Lewis, and The Internet Bubble by the two Perkins’s. So yes a few of us are being loud about what is going on today
$NBIS: Massive data center build-outs will eventually become ghost buildings because the idea of crowding space with "data centers" is detached from physical reality.
Reasons: severe supply shortages, grid limitations, and fierce local opposition.
Now, 201 Milan Parkway in Birmingham, Alabama, which was sold 3 times in one day.
Can you guess what they’re building there? See below. @m3_melody

Remember how eagerly the press swallowed stories about how Twitter was going to crash after Elon bought it? How could they have believed that someone who could run rocket and car companies couldn't run a forum?

BREAKING: For the first time in four years, Yemen's Houthis have struck Saudi Arabia's King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh with drones, hitting the main jet fuel tanks, with flames and a massive plume of black smoke over the airport, per Reuters.
Saudi Arabia lost its most advanced fighter jet to the Houthis on Wednesday, flew no strikes as Mocha fell, and bombed its own allies on the Bab el-Mandeb coast Monday.

For people wondering why the Saudi “military” is so pathetic and embarrassing, Saudi arabia intentionally keeps its army dogshit because it’s deathly scared of a coup. Important positions are all held by royal family members/loyalists, who are almost all incompetent and careless

The US can't afford higher rates... Warsh knows that.
- In the next 12 months, ~$8T of USTs need to be rolled.
- The average coupon is ~3.3%.
- The US10y yield is ~5%.
Rolling that $8T at today’s US10y level would add $136B in annual interest costs, and that’s before you factor in the interest burden on an ongoing $2T annual deficit.
Volcker could crush inflation with double‑digit rates because inflation had already driven debt to GDP down from about 120% to ~30%.
Today we are back at 120%...
First you inflate the debt away, then you raise rates to kill inflation.
We are in the inflation part of the cycle... you know what that means

NEW: Just in the past few hours, there have been a FLURRY of concerning signals about potential events set to unfold in the Middle East.
What first started as a single ominous U.S. Embassy alert in Jerusalem warning Americans in the country of increased risk soon turned into Israel plus Oman. Then the ENTIRE Middle East.
Ominous, surely.
But then Bibi Netanyahu just dropped the Texas leg of his U.S. tour, flying straight back to Tel Aviv out of New York.
Then came Trump. After his recent meeting at Camp David, he is now set to return to Washington TONIGHT instead of tomorrow.
Pairing this with the repeated statements Trump has made about his “major decision” approaching a critical juncture, there are alarms BLARING to the wider world.
Could this be yet another move of Trump TACO? Certainly.
But if it’s not… things could be set to REALLY kick off in the Iran War once again.

Thanks to President Trump’s leadership on AI:
— a million new jobs have been created around the AI buildout;
— 401(k)s are up ~12% this year as AI capex and productivity lift the market;
— America is re-industrializing, including the first large private investments in power generation and the grid in a generation;
— In rural Richland Parish, Louisiana, teachers just received $50,000 bonuses from data-center tax revenue.
Because the media portrays AI only as a menace, people tell pollsters they “don’t like AI.” Their behavior says otherwise. AI products are the fastest-adopted technology in history — faster than the internet or the iPhone. People like the tools, the jobs, and the tax base.
President Trump understands the media hoax cycle better than anyone else. That is why he is refusing the “pause” that Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are demanding. A pause would not make America safer. It would hand the frontier to China. That would be a disaster for the American economy and for national security.

MAJOR: 11% of French gas stations are now COMPLETELY OUT of diesel.
Europe is getting increasingly CRUSHED by the United States’ war against Iran, and it’s only going to get worse in the coming months as Saudi’s East-West Pipeline shutdown has resulted in some shipments to Europe being OFFICIALLY cancelled for September and October.
With the United States currently mulling an export ban on some refined products, Ansarallah smashing Saudi infrastructure, and Iran set to escalate in the lead up to the US midterms…
Things could get REALLY bad in Europe.

Big Short investor Steve Eisman says the AI labs know they have no moats and are manufacturing a crisis to get regulation that hands them a duopoly
"I think this is all nonsense."
[ You think it's all nonsense? ]
"All nonsense. I think that there's something else completely going on here. ... What I think is happening is that token maxing is over. The open weight models are taking big market share. I think these companies are very nervous. They realize that there are no moats around their business whatsoever, and they're trying to manufacture a crisis that will create regulation, and that they think they can then manipulate to create the moats, to create the duopoly that they want."
[ Wow. ]
"That's what I think is going on."
"Honestly, I think this whole Terminator thing is garbage. That's for sure."

Trump ambassador Tom Barack said last year that Israel had no borders, could erase Sykes-Picot as far as it wanted.
It seems Ansarullah heard the lesson, may erase Sykes-Picot pencil marks even faster.
As for WW3, depleted oil reserves, low weapons stockpiles, lacking Rare Earth Elements, diesel, and jet fuel, I can’t see how US-UK-EU could prevail against indigenous people protecting their homelands. Economic collapse and tyranny coming at home, but not victory abroad.
60% OF EVERYTHING:
MBS cannot defend Saudi lands and nobody dares to come to help. US aircraft base will soon be wiped out.
MBS will escape to Estepona (all rich Saudis live there), just like Shah of Iran escaped 47 years ago.
Then... things will get very interesting:
Houthis + Iran will control both the Persian Gulf & the Red Sea & effectively 60% of global oil reserves & their transport routes.
That, to me... paves the path to WW3:

BOOOM! LAWSUIT!
The antitrust lawsuit I said would happen in the first minutes of the “We must Pace AI” Doomer game just dropped.
Antitrust coordination.
There is no way this will not impact Antropic and their IPO as they are the instigators of this and now will face the corruption charges. There is no way that this will not impact the IPO of OpenAI as they colluded in private and both parties admitted to in in public.
I predict more.
