My whole life is just mercy, grace and unmerited favor. I seriously don’t deserve any of this.
My career, my life, everything I do now is for one purpose… to glorify Jesus. That’s it. Anything other than that is just vain glory and is ultimately meaningless.
It’s funny, I was completely sold out for wrestling when I was young… now I’m sold out for Jesus in the exact same way. I didn’t care who knew, I was gonna tell everybody just how amazing pro wrestling was. I was completely unashamed.
I used to always ask God, why me? But the answer he’d always give me is because he knew that I would be bold and crazy enough to tell the entire world about him.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20
Great reminder.
You learn how to truly forgive someone in your heart when you realise that we’re literally all hurt people, who then project that hurt onto other people… it’s a never ending cycle of hurt.
But when we receive God’s love and forgiveness, he heals us of our wounds so we can pour that same love and forgiveness onto others.
Then, we start to participate in the healing of the world.
Then, we BREAK the cycle.
"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." - Ephesians 4:32
Happy Sunday 🙏🏻

I’m sharing this with y’all cuz a lot of you know my older brother Cannon. He received some very bad news last week that an issue he’s been dealing with lately has gotten much worse and he requires surgery asap.
Cannon’s vision due to cataracts has decreased tremendously to the point he’s unable to drive, and it’s affecting his ability to work from home. If it's not addressed the specialist says he could go blind in both eyes.
ANYTHING helps, and most of all just keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Love my brother to death, and I know he's made some of Yall laugh or smile at some point.
He hasn’t been at a battle in years because he already can’t drive at night. Thank you to all of you who are willing to help in whatever manner that may be.
God is good!

“Your identity in Christ is really what matters.”
Powerful words from Detroit Pistons forward Jaden Ivey after hitting the game-winning shot Monday night to beat Toronto.
URL is overrated. King of the Dot, iBattle, and several other leagues produce better writers and more entertaining battlers.
Long but worthwhile read.
A Bishop's Musings
(860+ words ahead, so you might want to slow down, take a breath, and give yourself a moment for deeper reflection.)
The Sunday worship hour is much more than just a gathering or something to be measured in numbers; it is the spiritual heartbeat of the Church, where the Body of Christ is nourished, strengthened, and formed for its mission in the world. Through gathering for the Word, the sacraments, and prayer, the Church is equipped and empowered to live as Christ’s presence in every area of life. If we reduce the Church’s impact to only what happens during the weekdays in society, we risk missing the deeper theological and spiritual realities regarding Sunday worship being what empowers us to go into the world as Christ’s representatives.
The tendency to undervalue the worship of the Triune God, which Eugene Peterson beautifully referred to as the “unforced rhythms of grace,” reflects a growing malady of low ecclesiology that has emerged over recent decades. As churches shift their focus toward pragmatic concerns—whether it be cultural relevance, influence, or numerical growth—the core identity of the Church as the Body of Christ gathered for worship has diminished. This shift can be traced to the increasing pressure for the Church to justify its role based on societal impact, leading to a greater emphasis on activism or influence rather than spiritual formation. And that’s not even touching on the way the Church has been McDonaldized and franchised into something far from its original calling.
When the Church is seen merely as a tool for effecting change in society or for achieving influence, we lose sight of the preeminent role that Christ plays in shaping and transforming us through the Holy Spirit. This reductionist view shifts the focus away from the transformative work of God that happens in worship and subtly places the Church's value on what it can produce externally. Consequently, this leads to a diminished view of Christ and the Spirit because it overlooks the mystical and spiritual reality that sustains the Church’s true mission.
The result is a growing tendency to approach the Church primarily through the lens of functionality rather than sacramentality, weakening our understanding of its deeper role as the living witness of the Kingdom of God. The claim that “we no longer preach the Gospel of Salvation, but the Gospel of the Kingdom” is theologically flawed and reflects a misunderstanding of Scripture. Sadly, many embraced this teaching without recognizing its exegetical fallacies, which only revealed how poorly the Scriptures were being read and interpreted. Without a robust ecclesiology rooted in worship, we risk embracing a shallow expression of faith—one that prioritizes outward impact over the Church’s divinely ordained purpose of embodying Christ's presence in the world through the power of the Spirit.
Moreover, when we continue to find ways to disparage the Church as it is revealed in Scripture—rather than honoring it for what Christ intended—we risk distorting its true nature to fit ideological paradigms. The Church is not ours to reshape according to cultural or political agendas; it is the Body of Christ, formed and sustained by the Holy Spirit. To reduce or diminish the Church’s role as revealed in Scripture is to diminish Christ Himself and the Spirit’s ongoing work within and through His people.
We must recognize that the Church is both gathered and sent—and gathering in worship is not a secondary part of that mission, but central to our identity and formation. It is through worship that we are shaped by the power and presence of Christ to become people who bring transformation to the world. Without the grounding that comes from worship and spiritual nourishment, our engagement in the world risks becoming mere activism, detached from the deeper call of the Gospel.
Reform, throughout Church history, has always focused on the Church itself—reforming it to be more faithful to the Gospel. From the great doctors of the Church to the Protestant Reformation, the emphasis has been on purity and continually aligning the Church with the truth of Christ. The phrase “Ecclesia semper reformanda est”—the Church is always to be reformed—captures this principle, reminding us that reformation is not about reforming the world, but about the Church continually being renewed by the Spirit.
Reformation begins within the Church, starting with us. We don’t reform society by merely changing external systems; instead, we reform the Church, and in doing so, we become a clearer witness to the world. Yes, Christians are called to seek justice and engage the world, but never at the expense of the Church’s internal faithfulness. True reformation does not come by focusing solely on political or cultural influence; it comes when the Body of Christ has been transformed by Christ.
True reform, true justice, and real influence begin with the conversion of hearts and the renewal of minds within the Church. The Church’s real impact is seen in both Sunday worship and how we live and serve throughout the weekdays. But it is worship and spiritual formation that fuel our engagement with the world. Without that foundation, what we offer risks becoming shallow—just another form of worldly activism, rather than the deep, Christ-centered transformation the world desperately needs.
The purpose of worship and the true meaning of reform are often misunderstood when the Church is seen merely as a force of influence in the world. The real work begins with the Church being reformed and renewed, so that when we go out into the world, we carry the authentic witness of the Kingdom of God. Without this foundation of spiritual renewal, any attempt to reform society becomes unmoored from the Gospel—and that’s where the real danger lies.

As Christians, our identity is first in Christ. Our identity is not in Harris or Trump. If you cannot handle it when evidence based truth is spoken about the character and policies of your candidate - you might be worshipping a political candidate instead of the Jesus you claim to follow.
