We’re HIRING Research Engineers & Research Interns at @oruel_inc. We're building the infra layer for robotics and physical AI. Looking for strong research and engineering experience in multimodal learning, vision models, and robotics. The work would be pretty straightforward: Read papers. Design experiments. Build and validate methods. Ship them. The quality you bring matters more than anything else. If you're the kind to move fast and solve hard problems, you might be a fit. Full-time + internships are open. Apply here: oru-el.notion.site/3f2508f77…

India makes only about 13-14% of its GDP in manufacturing. Adding factories won’t close that gap alone. So we asked a different question: who are the enablers for the manufacturing economy? Our deep dive on Manufacturing Enablers in India 🧵 @malpani @SaneDhruv

Run a pilot like a scientist runs an experiment to test your hypothesis about your business
A good pilot should leave you with fewer unanswered questions. Here’s how founders can design pilots to learn more about their product, customers, and company.

A VC fund has a clock. A great business doesn’t always do. As India’s first generation of VC funds ages, we think there’s an opportunity to give good businesses a second life with patient capital. At Malpani Ventures, we like to call ourselves Micro-PE 🧵 @malpani @SaneDhruv

graduated college. raised our pre-seed. Oru'el is now backed by @joinef and @transposevc. we’re removing the infrastructure babysitting that slows teams down from building the next frontier in the physical world. i have a deep appreciation for the team at @joinef who made this possible: @MokshitNaidu, @akashizzle, @rahulsamat, Shikhar Shukla, @skorde955. this started as a small Brain Computer Interface project with a grant from @aigrantsindia back in September last year. the 2 months residency sprint at @paraschopra's @lossfunk was when we decided to take this up as a scalable idea. our ideas and approach changed, but the team [@prb5h, @nihipap] kept pushing it. since then, we've received enormous support from @3FdotVC [@yashpanditrao] and @mercatus at @GeorgeMasonU. a total of $52k in grants that kept us alive and running for an year. we’ve also met people from all walks of life and careers who helped us get here in their own way, and from whom we’ve learned a lot. thanks, @alysha_lobo, @shyamalanadkat, @AmitRajaNaik and many others who made sure we keep improving. onto the next one.

last year same day @chastronomic and I started a thing, we called it 'lock-in' with a singular purpose -- BUILD. Can't even fathom a year has passed since the "Goat Post" and looking back, it was a crazy year. > Started with BCIs > Built near-SOTA EEG Denoising algo at a fraction of the cost > came across GPU failures at Meta's blog post > "it's a signal processing problem" > @nihipap joins > move to Bangalore > Join @lossfunk > SOTA in GPU failure prediction > PINN based algo, built with $2 (lol) > $52k in cash grants from @aigrantsindia, @3fdotvc, @mercatus Center at George Mason University (Emergent Ventures Program) > Connected with great people like @partha ranganathan, @anindya das, @vijay raghavan, @soumithchintala, @shyamalanadkat, @alysha_lobo > got featured in @analyticsindiam and @economictimes > got into the @nvidia ecosystem in the Inception Program thanks to @tobiashalloran and @arundhati1504 Oru'el is now backed by @joinef and @transposevc to do one thing : remove blockers for the teams out there building the future so that they can focus on their core work instead of babysitting infra and stitching tools. More to come.

Not all capital is created equal. An angel, family office & AIF may all write startup cheques but their constraints, investment horizons & ability to follow on can be very different. We broke it down 👇 malpaniventures.com/blog/fun… @malpani @SaneDhruv

In all my travels domestic and abroad, I have never given much attention towards airports as a business but solely thought of them as just a place to be. But then I flicked the switch after @karansehgal47 and @yashpanditrao told me that I was missing the bigger picture.

Airports look like a passenger-volume business. They are really a yield business. 54% of global airport revenue is aeronautical. 37% is commercial. That smaller commercial slice often generates a disproportionate share of profit.

I have been thinking about this for a while I think selling a XY stage alone would not be feasible . Yes its a great product but it sits in awkward market gap, an average person doesn't need a nano positioning stage so only the R&D industry is the market that too dominated by gaints like Thorlabs. The thing is if a lab is doing research which needs nanometer motion they will surely have enough funds to buy a professional setup rather than the frugal one I built. Regarding applications of the underlying tech? Yet to fully explore Maybe opening it to the community like Arduino is the best option rn.

Introducing XY one, our first open source project. Built as a proof of concept. XY one proved that you don't need lacs of rupees for nanometer resolution instruments. We are open sourcing it, visit f2r.site for more info.
