Construction of Itaca Using Crane WASP The walls of TECLA (Itaca prototype) were fabricated using Crane WASP and a lime-based material mixture without the use of conventional concrete. The material was selected for its lower carbon footprint compared to traditional cement-based solutions, while still meeting structural performance and durability requirements. The lime-based mixture also offers high vapor permeability, enabling improved moisture regulation within the wall system. This characteristic supports passive thermal stabilization and reduces the risk of surface mold formation.
