Read this @alan_bastable piece in its entirety and you’ll understand why #municipalgolf courses need the same legislation that protects parks in communities. And for the record: why won’t golf stakeholders get behind this??

Late last year I reported on Dauphin Highlands and, more generally, how the data-center boom is touching golf golf.com/news/data-centers-c…

This muni just sold for nearly $50 million. Here's why other courses could be next | News | GOLF.com

As data-center development accelerates in the U.S., golf courses in at least a half-dozen states have been identified as potential sites.

A comprehensive, intelligent and critical review of municipal golf from where I grew up learning the game. @cityofhamilton - let’s make evidence based decision making here, not eminence based.

On the @cityofhamilton going through another municipal golf review, this one on Chedoke. My thoughts on how politicians got it wrong…….again. scoregolf.com/opinion/rick-y…

Tomorrow, August 31, we’re closing the 36 A Day store. New chapter begins and I’ve shared more on Instagram but I’m not going away! So grateful for all the support this brand has received over the years. It’s in great hands with @kandygolf now!

Golf tips are like ideas. They’re free and not always good. But kudos to the Vanity Index podcast on @GolfChannel who shared that @NellyKorda uses “Coca Cola” as an auditory tempo reminder. Well, that idea worked amazingly for me!

I respectfully disagree Rick. You’re doing well in this regard. It is us - other golf media members and lovers of municipal golf - who need to pick up this advocacy work with you.

As an industry where golf needs to do better - and where I need to do better - is communicating to city councils & parks departments that munis (done well) can be transformational investments with tremendous community upside.

One of the best and more underrated parts of @TheMasters week begins now. Time for the @DriveChipPutt championship. Coffee is poured and I’m confident @YoungerGolf is watching too!

The Tiger Woods story is still emerging. Regardless of details of what happened, it is the future that I hope will see healthy and positive changes for the best golfer of this generation. That said, it’s not a golf story to me, it’s a story of a father and philanthropist.

Wow. My condolences to his family. Mark was always so gracious with his time with me in the early days of both my golf writing and golf business. He did so much to ground PEI as a respected golf destination within Canada. A good man gone far too soon.

Peeps, curious to know if anyone has experience with a mini driver? I’m intrigued by the blend of distance and forgiveness. Love the 11.5 deg options available.

Mitch Marner. What a great goal! And I’ll take back my criticism of Binnington, made so many clutch saves in 3rd and OT. Phew.
