Thoughts are with the Canadian troops at CFB Wainwright. Sounds horrendous.

This is just not true. As soon as I became foreign secretary I asked the security services the same question and they replied that there was no evidence of any successful interference in the 2016 referendum, by Russia or any other power.
Either the security services have changed their view - which would be very odd - or Burnham is lying about what he has been told. After all Starmer was in power for two years and had access to exactly the same information.

Brilliant news taxpayers… we’re backing a new airport in er …. Angola costing £371 MILLION… (looks nice)
Oh, and we’re also backing £655 MILLION of finance for 3 other infrastructure projects in Angola!
Since 2018, British taxpayers have underwritten well over £2 BILLION of finance for Angola.
Oh, and they still had €280.8 MILLION outstanding by June 2025 on a uk backed hospital financing agreement from 2018.
And your taxes are going up cos …

In just two years Labour have hit us with over £64 billion in extra taxes & over £244 billion in extra borrowing - and they’ve squandered the lot with nothing to show for it.
Fancy thinking that the answer is more taxes and more borrowing.
The mind boggles.

Hmmm who should we trust on the UK economy:
Bridget Phillipson who with a brief stint working for a refuge worked most of her adult life in politics.
Or Sir Jim Ratcliffe who spent three decades building businesses including the world’s largest privately owned industrial group that generates £50 billion and employs 26,000 people?
Tough one. 🤔

There are more people in Britain claiming welfare benefits for ADHD than there are full-time soldiers.
ADHD claims are up 40% since Labour came to power.

I have just completed my decennial trip to the quack (Whiskey and stubborn resistance usually prevails) which resulted in a trip to the Pharmacist. What's the plan here guys? Why out of approx. 20 people was I the only one required to pay for the voodoo magic tablets?
I completely agree.
🚨🚨I am calling for a pact that unites Reform, the Conservatives, and Restore.
Division is now an existential threat to Britain — to our traditions, our values, and common sense.
This must begin with a meeting held without preconditions. The party leading in the polls should lead this union of the right, with the other two parties offered roles that reflect their projected share of the vote.
If this does not happen, we risk handing Britain over to Labour and the Greens.
Is that what you want? Open borders. Weakened national security. A foreign policy that puts Britain last.
Say what you like, but we now have more than enough examples to see exactly how this is likely to unfold.
One more Labour term would mean the complete destruction of Britain as we know it.

This month’s Prime Minister Andy Burnham @andyburnham has just announced he’s increasing foreign aid to 0.7% of GDP, which is £21 billion per year. Let me put that in context for you. The average amount of income tax paid per year by basic rate taxpayers in the UK is £2,700. So that means that nearly 8 million taxpayers in the UK are working all year ONLY to give their wages to foreign governments. There are 30 million basic rate taxpayers in the UK, so one in four people that you see working in restaurants or pubs, nurses, cleaners and many more are paying all of their tax to foreign countries. Countries like Pakistan that can afford nuclear weapons, to India that can afford a space programme, to China that can afford to buy the world, to Somalia that doesn’t have a government, only warlords. Etc etc etc etc etc. One in eight British basic rate taxpayers are paying all of their money not to schools in this country. Not for hospitals in this country, nor to fix the roads, nor anything whatsoever in Britain. Every penny goes abroad. Eight million people here giving their hard earned money to the British government who then give every penny away. Every single penny. So, if you’ve ever wondered why things aren’t improving in this country and wonder what happens to the money you’ve made from your toil and your sleepless nights of wondering how you’ll pay the next bill, that’s what happens to it. 8 million of you are working for foreign governments. Think about that.
My thoughts are with @ClevelandPolice and the families and friends of the officers who did not return home.

The Deputy Leader of the Green Party didn’t want asylum seekers housed near her because they pose, “significant risks”.
But apparently her party thinks telling these same people not to rape children is scaremongering.
The hypocrisy of these people is off the charts.

A website is charging £49.99 to coach benefit claimants on exactly what to write on their PIP forms to secure maximum disability payments, with copy-paste answers covering 131 conditions. With PIP claims hitting four million and the welfare bill under scrutiny, this raises real questions about how the DWP assessment system actually works.

Together they represent one of the biggest transfers of wealth from households and businesses to the Treasury in decades - with no noticeable improvement in public services.
Whether you're a business owner employing staff, a parent paying school fees, a farmer planning succession, an entrepreneur building wealth or simply someone trying to save for retirement...
You keep less of what you earn.
You keep less of what you invest.
You leave less to your family.
