I like how throughout the movie they made it clear that a lot of these terrible people had their lifestyle catch up with them. The Irishman was so much better than I anticipated. Considering Scorsese's age, I was not expecting such a highly original, unique, and nuanced film. Scorsese is still in his prime. This was a setup/trap by the bosses to graduate Frank into a hitman/house painter. The other whispers was told to use him to settle his beef without being told that Bruno claimed to have an interest in the joint, then he got whacked for business and even paid for the hit himself. And Frank got graduated into assasin. They basically left Frank with no choice. fix it by killing him or be killed. I like it when Russell says 'things change'. It's so cryptic. Perhaps it's a foreboding or an omen that Frank is swapping wives. Or that fact that he has said farewell to any kind of normalcy, you know, being a nice and loving family man and all.🎬🍿
