BREAKING: Jimmy Kimmel and Governor J.B Pritzker team up to hilariously mock Donald Trump's absurd lie that Chicago is a "lawless" battle-zone with a fake war reporter segment — before explaining how ALL OF US can join in. Pritzker, the Governor of Illinois," Kimmel said on his show, at which point he cut away to a segment of Pritzker dressed up in a military vest, doing his best impersonation of a reporter. "This is J.B. Pritzker reporting from war-torn Chicago as you can see there's utter mayhem and chaos on the ground," Pritzker deadpanned beside a peaceful city bridge. "It's quite disturbing." "The Milwaukee Brewers have come in to attack our Chicago Cubs," he continued. "We've seen people being forced to eat hotdogs with ketchup on them. And our deep dish pizza, well, has gone shallow. So it's a challenge to survive here in the city of Chicago but there's no hellscape that I'd rather be in." The governor's delivery was perfect, showcasing an ease and sense of humor that is sorely lacking from the deranged Republicans currently ruling over us. A politician should be able to take themselves less seriously at times and remind the country that they're human. The more we see of Pritzker, the more he looks like a strong presidential contender. "Well, thank you governor and please know that you and the Cubs will be in our prayers," said Kimmel. "So that's how you do it. If you live in one of the war-ravaged communities has or is planning to occupy with troops, we want to see just how frightening it is so make a video, post it to Youtube with the hashtag 'ShowMeYourHellhole' and look for a message from us so we can share your nightmare with the world." In addition to being great comedy, the segment drives home an important point. There is no crisis unfolding in Chicago and no need for Trump to send in the National Guard. This is nothing more than a naked power grab from a would-be dictator. It falls to all of us to stand up, speak out, and put an end to this dangerous farce.
