TBH I think I nailed the vast majority of these prospect takes from the offseason, gonna be bringing out the receipts for a while. I can't wait to bring more prospect insights this offseason!

I was giving Payne a pretty good dose of helium coming into 2025, only to have him yo-yo up and down my prospect rankings all season long. From a numbers perspective, Payne was strong in May, then disappeared into the void for a couple months before re-emerging in July to have his best month of the season...and then fell asleep for the last two months.
@ProspectsLive sees a speedster with a below average bat and power, though @StatlineScout has a more favorable perspective of his bat, with 20 home run upside that scouts currently aren't seeing.
For me personally, this will probably be my most vibes-based evaluation of the year. I see a ton of athleticism and upside potential with Payne. We've seen some glimpses of what the talent can be, and if it all clicks, I think there's star potential here.
Of course, that's a big IF.
