🇵🇰🇨🇳🇺🇸⚡️– Pakistan asked Iran to stop Ansarullah from attacking Saudi Arabia, warning that Pakistan have defense commitments with Saudi and Turkey and will be forced to take action against them.
But the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia have not stopped and still continue. In response, Pakistan has now closed all its border crossings with Iran, allegedly to stop their exports to China and Pakistan.

The distinction between the inner man and the outer man comes primarily from the writings of Saint Paul the Apostle.
Saint Paul writes:
"Though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day."
Second Epistle to the Corinthians 4:16
"I delight in the law of God according to the inward man."
Epistle to the Romans 7:22
What is the outer man? The outer man is not just the physical body. In Orthodox understanding, it includes:
The bodily senses. The fallen habits and passions. Living according to appearances and worldly concerns. The ego-centered way of life.
The body itself is good and created by God, but after the Fall, a person's attention tends to become scattered outward through the senses. What is the inner man? The inner man is the hidden person of the heart. It is the deepest center of the human person where communion with God takes place.
The Fathers often connect it with the heart (kardia) and the nous (the spiritual intellect or eye of the soul).
A person begins to know the inner man when they stop being occupied with changing others and begin standing before God with repentance for themselves. There, in the heart, they encounter both their poverty and God's mercy.

University debate: "Chronic disease is the price of living long enough to get it."
Doctor: "In 1900 the average Briton was dead at 47. Nobody lived long enough to get heart disease. We cured the infections and inherited the rest."
Anthropologist: "Who was dying at 47?"
Doctor: "It's an average."
Anthropologist: "Of what?"
Doctor: "...Babies, mostly. One in seven died in the first year."
Anthropologist: "So a dead baby and a man of 90 average out at 45. Neither of them died at 45. The babies died and everyone else got old."
Doctor: "Fewer got old."
Anthropologist: "A 65-year-old in 1900 had about eleven years left. Now it's about nineteen. Eight years. That's the whole of your argument, and you've stretched it over a century of epidemics like a small tablecloth."
Doctor: "Eight years at exactly the ages the diseases strike."
Anthropologist: "Bowel cancer in the under-50s. Up 3.6% a year in England, falling in the over-65s. Which of those patients lived too long?"
Doctor: "That's a separate trend."
Anthropologist: "Type 2 diabetes in children. Nearly doubled in five years. Did not exist in a British child in 1990. Did the twelve-year-old live too long?"
Doctor: "That's obesity."
Anthropologist: "Obesity used to be a disease of age as well, if you want another one for the shelf."
Doctor: "The rates still rise with an older population."
Anthropologist: "Every rate you've quoted tonight is age-adjusted. A statistician took your excuse out of the numbers before they were printed. They went up anyway."
Doctor: "Heart attacks have always been a disease of age."
Anthropologist: "The first one was described in 1912. Boston was full of 70-year-olds in 1911. Not one of them had a heart attack, because nobody had invented it yet."
Doctor: "You're saying old people didn't get ill."
Anthropologist: "They wore out. They didn't catch a disease at 12 that their great-grandfather never caught at 80. You said people weren't living long enough. The children are living long enough. That's rather the problem."
Moderator: "Time."
Doctor: "Living longer remains the biggest risk factor there is."
Anthropologist: "For dying. You've got the wrong disease."

The Arab slave trade trafficked over 20 million Africans into the Middle East.
But today, there are hardly any Black populations in some of those countries.
And it is not because they returned home.
No. The reason is far darker than you imagine.
The first thing Arabs did when they captured enslaved African men was castrate them.
Their testicles were crushed between rocks.
Sometimes the penis was cut as well.
Thousands died from the procedure.
This ensured that these men could never father children with enslaved women.
It also meant they could never have children with their own women.
They were stripped of their ability to reproduce, denied the chance to build families, and worked to death.

In March 1897 a Catholic priest stood in a Chicago hall in front of the city's officials, buttoned his coat over a vest half an inch thick, and told a marksman to fire a revolver into his chest. The bullet stopped. The vest was made of silk.
Casimir Zeglen had come from Poland to a parish on the South Side, and in 1893 he had watched the city's mayor shot dead in his own house by a disappointed office-seeker. Assassination was the fashion of the age. Presidents, empresses and kings were being killed by pistol, and steel breastplates were too heavy to wear under a frock coat.
Zeglen reasoned from something soldiers had noticed for centuries: a bullet that passed through a man was often found with a scrap of his silk handkerchief wrapped round it, unbroken. The fibre would not tear. So he layered it, tightly woven, dozens of sheets deep, with linen and a little wool, and when he had a vest he trusted he put it on himself.
The demonstration worked, and he repeated it, and the Zeglen vest went into production. A Polish inventor refined the weave and the armour was offered to the crowned heads of Europe. Whether it would have stopped a rifle is another matter. It stopped the pistol rounds of its day, which were the rounds the assassins used.
Silk is a protein, extruded by a caterpillar, and strand for strand it holds more tensile load than the steel the armourers had been bolting on. A worm had solved the problem of the flying bullet before any chemist had been born who could make a synthetic to match it, and the synthetic, when it came seventy years later, was engineered to behave like silk.
The priest lived to be seventy-eight. Nobody ever shot him in anger.
